Mondays are a battlefield

Here is some inside scoop on my loving husband, he likes dance shows. Take that back he kind of LOVES dance shows! When SYTYCD came on years ago we watched every episode and one of our favorite dances was to the song Battlefield by Jordan Sparks (here is the dance for your reference it’s amazing When I came downstairs wearing these new camo pants on a Monday morning what does my husband say? “What, Are you going into battle?” then bursts into song, but hey sometimes with two kids on a Monday morning it feels like a battle!

This outfit is my favorite for days where I need to get a ton done because the Caslon Utility pants $79 have a good stretch in them but even through a busy day they are not sagging in the rear like some do. These I got in a petite length (I’m 5’5) so that they would hit at my ankle in my typical size (10) if you are in-between sizes I would size down, especially in the regular since they do have some stretch.

My jean jacket is one that I have had for at least a year and it’s my go-to! The Vince Camuto $99 has a perfect fitted shape without being too boxy, I’m in a medium which is my typical size. I’ve also been eyeing the KUT from the Kloth stone washed $79 one if you want one that is lighter in color. Since these pictures were taken at my very favorite Magnolia Market in Waco, TX I had to wear my Magnolia Seal Shirt $26.

The final piece to this super comfy outfit is the Chuck Taylor Shoreline sneakers $49.99. I went back and forth with these! I have tried on the Shoreline style before and just could not get over that the back of the shoe was stretchy and it felt like it would slip off so I originally purchased the Chuck Taylor All Stars in white $50. These are a true white and typical to this style I went down half a size to a 6.5 and they fit perfectly but… I didn’t love how they looked with an ankle pant so I went back and exchanged for the Shoreline style. This style is more true to size and I got in a 7. Keep in mind the Shoreline is more of an off-white versus the All Stars are a true white. After wearing around the house I totally got used to the stretchy back and LOVE them now! I wear these at least a few times a week because they look great with pants, shorts, jeans and are super comfortable to walk in.

I hope that you have a wonderful week and if things are getting the best of you just turn on a little old school So You Think You Can Dance, it always brings a smile to my face!
