Cozy New Year

As we start the new year we have been hit with a cold spell that came drizzly, grey weather so all I want to do is stay inside alas little man is headed back to school and I have things to do! So I have put together some of my all time favorites and a few new items to pull together this look.

Cardigan // V-Neck tee // Jeans // Boots

The Barefoot Dreams cardigan is one of those items that I didn’t know that I needed until I got one and then I proceeded to buy one of every woman I love. This graphite color I’ve had for about two years and every year they come out with some new colors (um hello burgundy!) that get my attention but I keep coming back to my tried and true. This style has a rounded hem so unlike some of the other styles I think it can be worn out of the house where some of the others tend to have a more robe look to them in my option. This style does fit a bit tighter in the arms so if you have a thicker arm then size up, I’m in a medium.

These jeans are my new addition to my winter/ spring wardrobe and from the second I put them on I knew that I was in love! First they are the Wit & Wisdom ab-solution style which has a hidden elastic interior band that helps with gapping and sucking in my mama belly (that has added a bit of fluff over the holidays so these are a god send!) In the past I have always gotten these in a 10 petite for my 5’5 height but this style does not come in petite so they hit just below my ankle but still short enough for heels, converse and low booties. Today I tucked them into my Hunter boots so you missed the other great feature of these jeans.. the hem! They have a double layer of raw hem to give them a bit of fluff at the edge. That along with the light distressing just make these a new favorite.

Now this pink v-neck tee is Madewell and I have been buying these lightweight tees for years now because they fit like a dream! The v is low but not too low, the length is good for jeans and shorts and it is fitted but not tight. Every spring and summer I stock up on these since they are a thinner material I’ve had a few get little holes but for under $20 and as much as I wear them I’m ok with restocking. This is the tinted blush color that is a great super light pink that almost feels like a neutral, I wear a medium in the so get our true size.

Now the last thing I want to chat about is my pink tote which I got last spring from Nordstrom but unfortunately they don’t have that same scalloped edge style back in stock quite yet. For Christmas my loving husband got me my dream Louis Vuitton bag that has a center pink section so I’ve been in big time pink mode. I rounded up some options if you are also thinking Valentine’s Day gifts to yourself or just go ahead and send this as a link to your Valentine to remind them what you want. I had a few people ask about my bag so I’ll link it below as well.

I hope you are having a fun new year already, many of you seem to have been hit with snow and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it might hit Texas today so I can finally wear my Sorel boots!
