What I’m Loving Wednesday: Fall Decor
It’s What I’m Loving Wednesday and although I tried to hold off until after Labor Day to decorate for fall Target did me in once again. I was strolling the aisles with my daughter just looking for a birthday present for a friend and BAM beautiful yellow foliage that had to be mine. Like typical Target fashion once I started, well I couldn’t stop.
Unfortunately this means that my four year old son thinks Halloween is next week and my seven year old daughter is so confused on what “actual” season we are in. Technically we are a little under a month from the official first day of fall but I figured if I’m getting in the mood you probably are as well.
To give you a little heads up on my decorating style, I’m not a my whole house screams FALL!! I like to change out a few things so there is a touch of that season in my home. Since the majority of our decor is green, blues and browns I try to find seasonal items that fit in that color palette (Christmas though is a completely separate subject.) Here are the changes I’ve made in our home to feel like fall is coming!
KITCHEN/ LIVING ROOM
This pillow I recently got and LOVE the colors but it will come out after Halloween.
I’m still on the hunt for a pumpkin mat to put out first but I got this Thankful mat in and LOVE the buffalo check.
FAVORITE PLACES FOR DECOR
MAGNOLIA MARKET I am lucky enough to live within driving distance to the famous Magnolia Market in Waco, TX but it is still a 2 hour drive. I LOVE going to the Market in the fall to get inspiration for colors and decor but to be honest I normally just load up on candles and maybe a small item for the house since I’ve found some other places that carry similar items for less cost.
KIRKLANDS I love Kirklands for a bit less expensive holiday decor that has a great farmhouse feel. This is where I picked up several of my pillows, the colored pumpkins and doormat.
TARGET I mean can you even leave Target without a few things for the home in your basket?! You know I can’t!! I was sooo happy when they came out with the Magnolia line since it kept me from a 2 hour drive to Waco at a more affordable price point. This is where a lot of my foliage comes from because after going to Magnolia Market I feel they make very comparable products for Target.
ETSY This is my absolute go-to when it comes to tiered tray signs or hunting down very specific items like buffalo plaid fall decor. So many amazing creators out there, and I love supporting small businesses in this way.
HOBBY LOBBY If you can’t tell by the links I grab A LOT from Hobby Lobby. The downfall is each store can have different items AND if you see something you love grab it then because finding it a 2nd time can be next to impossible. I have a few things in this post that are older Hobby Lobby items that I just can’t find anymore.
