Friends I’m back at workwear!! I took a little hiatus because honestly once so many of you said “I’ve been sent home and just wanna wear loungewear for AS LONG AS POSSIBLE!!” It didn’t seem like it was the most pressing fashion option, although over the past few weeks more and more of you have mentioned going back to your workplaces in some sort of “all in” or hybrid schedule and you need more options.
Today I’m sharing 3 work looks that can mixed up for a more casual style if you are not yet headed to an office. This holiday weekend is the time to grab it ALL. LOFT is having an amazing sale with code HBDUSA takes 70% off 4+ sale items or 60% off 3 sale styles and 50% off regular price.
Sizing info: I am 5’5 and size 12/ L bottom and 36DD/ M/ 10 top. “tts” means true to size based on the given sizing chart, in LOFT I tend to be a medium top and 12 bottom in jeans I’ll get petite lengths.
Fit Tips: Blazer tts, 10 // Cami tts, M // pants tts run a bit high rise in 12 modern regular length // pumps tts
This cami is one that is great for summer because it’s super professional under a blazer but then can be mixed up with shorts for the weekend. I paired it first with a great workwear staple this 3/4 sleeve linen blazer. Now it is a linen blend so it doesn’t wrinkle as bad as pure linen but it’s not as wrinkle free as a wool jacket. I flipped up the sleeves just a bit because I feel like my arms are on the shorter side.
Fit Tips: cami tts, M // pull on shorts tts, L // flip flops tts // bracelets in size M fawn color
Now I’ve fallen in love with any short that has an elastic waistband and 4″ inseam. The shorts that I actually love even more with this cami are these but they sold out so fast that I decided to switch them out for this linen blend pair.
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, M // pants tts 12R modern fit // pumps tts
This outfit is exactly something that I would have worn in recruiting (but with a blazer). The Riveria pants are black and come right above my ankle in the regular length so I didn’t feel the need for a petite length. These are higher rise and I would say if you are in-between size up.
The blouse is flowy and has the same woven material all the way around so it is dressy enough for an office. I love this Jade color but it also come in red.
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, M // jeans tts 12P modern fit // pumps tts
Switching this up for the weekend I added my favorite white jeans! These are not sheer and come in a ton of sizes. I wear the modern fit in a petite length because I like them to hit at my ankle or right above and the regular is a bit too long on me. If you have curvy hips and smaller waist go with the curvy fit, I tend to carry my weight more in my thighs and have straighter hips.
Sunglow Stretch Bracelet Set 50% off w/ code HBDUSA
Had to show a close up of this fun bracelet from LOFT that is stretchy and looks great with a ton!
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, M // skirt tts, L // gold sandals sold out but true to size
Now this outfit I deem my work from home trick! Wearing a black blouse with a super soft jersey skirt ensures that you are comfy on the bottom but if for some reason you need to get up while on a video conference call it appears to be a full dress!
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, M // Skirt size up if in-between, L // sandals size up 1/2
Now if you are not a fan of the black on black I wanted to show you that this stripe blouse also looks cute for a dressed down work look. Stretchy comfy skirt with a blouse is always a great combo!
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, M // shorts tts on left 4″ inseam on right 6″ in 12 modern fit
To switch this up for the weekend I pulled out Loft’s popular Riveria short! These have some stretch, higher rise and come in several inseam lengths. These run pretty true to size but if you are in-between I would go up in sizes since the are pretty high rise in the modern fit, I’ve heard in the curvy to size down if in-between.
