Happy Spring! It’s been a bit since I’ve done a blog round up of all my favorites from Amazon but since I had a little difficulty with Amazon live on Friday I figured I would put the finds here. Now if you want to see the items that DIDN’T make the cut or just have a little chuckle I’ve been doing fun try-on sessions (kind of like unboxing) and telling you my uncensored option on each item as it comes in.
Check out those videos here:
- Amazon Fashion Finds & Fails April
- Amazon Fashion Finds & Fails April 2 (this got cut off so see the swimsuits here)
I know this format is new so I wanted to address a things, first NO you do not have to catch these videos live. Really the only function of being live with me is the ability to ask questions in real time. Immediately after the end of the video it saves to my Amazon live Channel where you can replay any videos I have done (I’m now up to 37!)
The best way to “find” an item I am talking about is click the “watch now” button then scroll the items beneath the video. This works best on a phone or computer it is not compatible with iPads currently.
Let’s chat now about which items this month were FINDS (or at least mostly a find)!
Sizing info: I am 5’5 and size 12/ L bottom and 36DD/ M/ 10 top. “tts” means true to size based on the given sizing chart, in Amazon I tend to size up if in-between.
DRESSES & SKIRTS
Fit Tips: Dress tts, L does run a bit short in the front and longer in the back // wedges tts but hard to find this color now so linked similar
I love this dress and the second I put it on I knew it was a winner! It’s a soft twill material and just enough flow without it being too ballon like for my figure. The only issue is I wish there were more colors!
Fit Tips: Dress runs slightly large size down if in-between in a L
When I saw this print I knew I had to try it. The camel/ coral combo is prefect for spring and with the great shirtdress style a great workwear piece. In a size large I don’t have any issues with pulling buttons or gapping but it is a little large so if you don’t need the extra chest room then I would size down.
Fit Tips: Dress tts, L
Friends this dress was a surprise hit! I couldn’t tell online the fabric and was pleasantly surprised by the soft jersey material. The buttons are faux so it’s not pulling and the v-neck hits at a good spot. What really leveled up this dress is pockets!!
Fit Tips: Dress tts, L
This Amazon dress is SUPER pretty BUT… if you are looking at it for photos just beware that the slip is short and would show through in pics. If you are just looking for a gauzy pretty dress then grab it! The off the shoulder style has your arms going through arm holes so you can wear on the tops of your shoulders if you prefer that.
Fit Tips: Dress runs large size down if in-between, L
I can’t decide if I am putting this dress in the finds or fails category. First I love the color and flow, but it’s pretty ballon like on me. Many of you agreed that this wasn’t the best on my figure but I think it could still have hope going down a size.
Fit Tips: Dress runs very small in a 12 but need 14 or larger
UGH I wanted so bad to LOVE this dress and I kept it in the post because I do think if I went up 1-2 sizes it could be a winner but just know it runs VERY small and it’s a more stretchy body-con style.
Fit Tips: tts, L
This maxi dress was such a winner except it’s more on the thin side. I love the ruffle top because if you are shorter you can easily tuck up the elastic to raise or lower the hem. It has enough room in the body for a nice flowy feel perfect for vacation. Paired with these leaf earrings that come in a pack of 2 it’s such a great beach look.
Fit tips: Dress tts, L // studded sandals size up 1/2
This jersey dress is one of those easy to throw on styles in the summer. I like the wide straps so you can wear a regular bra and the curved hem adds a little extra detail over just a plain swing dress. I added the clutch, jacket and earrings and can easily be dressed up for summer dates.
Fit Tips: size up for larger chest, L
I showed this dress a bit ago perfect for events like graduation or Mother’s Day and so many of you have mentioned that you love it too! It’s fully lined with pocket and a great lightweight material. Since I’m larger chested the high neck I needed a large but I could have gone down a size if it weren’t for that.
Fit Tips: tts, L
This dress I loved so much I bought 2 colors! The ruched top stays put and the maxi skirt is the perfect length for my 5’5 height. I grabbed both the green and blue colors but honestly I’m tempted to get more since it’s such an easy summer dress.
Fit Tips: skirt size up if you are bigger in the thighs // tee custom fit on amazon
Now this skirt was another not really a winner but could be. The fabric was a thinner jersey than I would have hoped for and it fit tight on my thighs. I would instead grab a darker color and size up and I feel like this could be a great easy pull-on skirt option.
SHORTS & PANTS
These shorts I was pleasantly surprised by! They have a 5″ inseam (which is hard to come by) great mid-rise and not super wrinkly fabric. The Cami has a built in really great molded cup bra but it runs REALLY long. I tied it up because with shorts it was a bit too long.
Fit Tips: Tee runs large so size down, M // shorts tts, L
I am so impressed with this Amazon top that I’m totally going back for more! It has a more slouchy fit, drop shoulders and thicker than a regular tee it feels more like a terry cloth knit inside. The shorts are a soft twill feeling with just enough stretch. Love the mid-rise pull-on style with big pockets.
TEES & TOPS
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, L // Pants tts, L petite
Looking for some comfy work pants?! Look no further this pull on style has back pockets and faux front but have tons of LENGTHS!! I’m in the large 29″ length but they so all the up to 37″ inseam!! The Blouse is a great work option as well, it’s fully lined and with a longer hem and good fit they are great together.
I can’t decide if I love this top or I feel like a flamenco dancer?! Either way it’s pretty fun, good length and comes in a ton of colors.
While I got this same color this top has a different, longer fit than the previous style. This one is almost tunic length with a cute mesh bell sleeve. It also come in an off the shoulders style perfect for date night.
My friend Jen showed this pink button down shirt and I thought it MIGHT fit my chest… and it’s a FIND!! I love the fabric, fit and feel of this one. Such a classic with great fabric and under $21 it’s worth grabbing several colors.
SWIM & COVERUPS
Fit tips: This swimsuit runs longer in the torso but also true to size in a 12
The downfall to this swimsuit is the smaller round removable cups, the great things is this swimsuit has more room in the torso great for my taller friends AND it has double removable straps. Head to the swimsuit live video for the interior construction.
Fit tips: true to size, 12
Ok friends here’s the deal, head to the swimsuit live link because seeing the inside of this swimsuit is what sold me! It has molded cups, lined in the front and backside and come on the pink is amazing!!
Fit Tips: Strapless Swimsuit in Rose Red, L // Lightweight Shirt, L
I want to note that this top is best as a swim coverup because the buttons do pull when wearing buttoned up.
Fit tips: Swimcoverup tts, L // Bow Studded Sandals
This lightweight coverup is a great summer staple and loving the blue on blue color.
Fit tips: Printed Kimono and One shoulder ruffle swimsuit tts, 12
Fun kimono that can easily be worn over a swimsuit or tank top moving into summer. Swimsuit runs true to size and has been a long time favorite.
