Summer Fun | Kid Boredom Busters
It’s already started… the “I have nothing to do” comments from the kids. While we have a playroom filled with toys summer brings another level of keeping kids busy. Today I’m sharing some of our favorites for summer fun and for those times when the rain or super hot weather keeps us inside. Join me later today on Amazon live when I talk about all of these and show you the watch that my daughter is in LOVE with.
TickTalk 4 Kids GPS Watch-My daughter just got this watch after it came highly recomended from a friend that has had the version 3 for a few years. This watch allows kids to call, voice call, have alerts and text ALL while blocking unknown numbers and NO APPS! This watch has allowed me to feel more comfortable with my daughter having some added freedom but without giving her a phone.
DREAM PAIRS Boys Girls Outdoor Summer Sandals-For years I would buy my kids water sandals but knowing how quickly they grow it’s hard to spend a lot. These have all the features of the KEEN Sandlas we love but at a better price.
KEEN Sandals-So although the Dream Pairs are affordable my daughter loved the color combo of the KEENs!
Fin Fun-Another friend had first and now we have it! These lightweight fabric mermaid tails are so fun in pools. The fin is the most expensive part and then you can get multiple “skins” to go over them. Friends said it’s worth getting the Fin Fun brand because they really do last longer.
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza Expanded Pack-This game might be one of our favorites so I was pumped to see a new expanded version. Our is on order for vacation card game fun!
Uno Flip & Monopoly Deal -Along with TCGCP we love Uno Flip and Monopoly deal and this is available in a combo pack.
Speedo Goggles-These are our go-to kid goggles. They seem to last the longest, fit the best and leak the least. I buy several pairs each summer.
Backyard Scavenger Hunt-Anyone else lost on “what to do” on a scavenger hunt? These fun sets of wooden coins give kids prompts of things to do and look for while playing outside. Check out the other versions here.
Water Beads-These expanding beads are great fun for outdoor play. They soak for a few hours thenturn into a jelly type of ball great for sensory bins. When you are done just throw them in your grass or a potted plant.
Ring Popsicle molds-Is it even summer if you don’t make some homemade popsicles? We love the Zoku brand and these “ring pops” are a fun change to a regular popsicle. We normally just do watermelon juice, easy and a great way to use up extra melon.
Water Balloons-These easy fill balloons are the only ones I use now. They fill up fast and macke for a fun and quick game on a hot summer day.
Smores Maker-Have little hands that you worry around an open flame?! I hard ya! This old school smores maker makes for easy indoor fun with a heating element instead of fire.
Lanterns-We got these for emergency use but they are small and work so well that we have pulled them out multiple times for camping (indoor counts too right?!)
Sandcastle Molds-Every year we go to the beach and now that the kids are getting older I feel like we need to up our sandcastle building. These molds you can fillthen unsnap the sides for a perfect looking castle.
Heavy Duty Foldable Wagon-Since with all this stuff (and kids) you have to get it to and from places!
Coleman Tent-Camping can happen even in your own backyard with this highly rated tent. From 2 person up to 6 you can get the size needed at a great price.
Fishing Rod-Star Wars and fishing, seriously a little boys dream!
Sand Toy Mesh Bag-These bags are crucial to carry all our toys to and from the beach house. I love that it has a flat bottom for easy viewing of what’s in the bag. Plus it folds up small for storage off season.
Sand Pail-These Spielstabil buckets are seriously the best and almost indestructible!! We have had ours for years and even with tons of use and sitting outside no cracking or breaking.
