(update) I can’t believe the summer is flying by!! As we have started talking about what you are all shopping for I’ve been hearing a TON of workwear!! I have to go back to the office and have nothing to wear! Plus if you are anything like me clothes are still fitting a little differently than they were back in March 2020 so picking up some affordable options is key.
This month I’m doing my blog post of Amazon Fashion Finds first and then on Friday join me for my Amazon LIVE where you can see them all on. The great part of these videos is they save so you can go back anytime and check out how it looks moving around.
I know this format is still a little new so I wanted to address a things, first NO you do not have to catch these videos live. Really the only function of being live with me is the ability to ask questions in real time. Immediately after the end of the video it saves to my Amazon live Channel where you can replay any videos I have done.
Let’s chat now about which items this month were FINDS (see the video later this week for the horrible fails and all my faces!)
Sizing info: I am 5’5 and size 12/ L bottom and 36DD/ M/ 10 top. “tts” means true to size based on the given sizing chart, in Amazon I tend to size up if in-between.
Fit Tips: True to size, L
I had a few requests for fall event dresses so I decided to try out a few styles thinking that most would be a total bust. I guess the joke was on me when I loved all of them!
This shorter version seemed to be the Instagram favorite with a slight off the shoulder look and high low hem. I love the ruffle and the seaming that give it a bit more visual interest. The only downside is the neckline buckles a bit and doesn’t stay in a sweetheart shape all the time.
Fit Tips: size up, XL
After I originally posted these on Facebook I had a few people comment that they have worn this dress for events and cruise formal nights and loved it as well! The stretchy soft fabric is not too thin and this Burgundy color is stunning for fall. Luckily it also comes in several other colors if this isn’t your hue.
Fit tips: size up, XL
The other style similar to the last has a cap sleeve on one side and a ruffle sleeve on the other. The skirt is a bit longer and straight hem vs. the mermaid high/ low style. It’s funny I would say it was the least favorite on the internet but my favorite when trying them all on.
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, 10 // Pants size down if in-between, 12 // Pumps tts
This blouse has been a favorite of mine for awhile but grabbed this persimmon color thinking it would be a perfect fall hue. Honestly it’s way more yellow than I had expected but still think it will be good for this late summer into fall time.
These trouser pants I’ve shared in a ton of Amazon posts because they just are classic, fit well and are a great price point!
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, L // Pants running a bit tight 12P // Pumps size up 1/2
This blouse IS closer to the pumpkin color I thought the last one would be but this one is called ginger so when looking at Lark & Ro this color is going to give you more fall feels. I love the ruffle placket and ruffle at the shoulder.
I was surprised by the fit of this pair of NYDJ ponte pants. These seemed to run smaller than the ones I got in the NSALE so not sure if they were a different season but just know if in-between size up. I have the petite length because these run long.
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, L // Pants are same as above but tucked under for a shorter length look running small 12P // Flats size up if in-between
This blouse I shared last month in a beautiful red print and thought, yup I’m gonna need more of those! I like the tulip cap sleeve and non-clingy feel of these blouses.
The pants are the same as above just tucked up a bit further to show that you can crop these for flats and make them have a whole new look. Basically though I wanted to show you these cute bow flats.
Fit Tips: size up if in-between
I had a lot of requests for alternatives to heels and while I will always prefer a work look with heels my 2nd favorite is something with a bow! These are a fun fall print with some great neutral colors. At first I thought they were too tight but as I wore them they stretched out a bit. Still if you are in-between I would size up.
Fit Tips: button down tts, L // Jeans tts, 12 // Flip Flops tts
There is just something about a classic white button down shirt. It can be worn for work or look great with a pair of distressed jeans! This shirt is under $21 is not sheer and has a great weight to it. These jeans though are not Amazon and a splurge but I figured it’s worth it after saving some $$ with the shirt!
Fit Tips: pullover size up for looser fit, L // jeans tts, 12
I wasn’t originally sure about this off the shoulder top but when I moved it more boatneck style I love it. The green is so fun for fall and it’s light enough for warmer climates. Now if I want a more slouchy off the shoulder style like in the stock photo I think I would need to size up to an XL.
use code RYANNEXSPANX for 10% off the leggings
Fit Tips: Tee runs tight in the hips size up for looser feel // Leggings tts, Sneakers size up 1/2
Although this top is super soft and I love the color it’s pretty clingy around the hips which is not my favorite when wearing on it’s own. Although it will be perfect layering under vests and jackets as it gets colder.
Fit Tips: Tank tts, L // Crop leggings size down, M // Sneakers size up 1/2
I’ve been on the hunt for a few “fall looking” tops for workouts and this new core 10 color is stunning! Love the fit and feel of this tank like weight and slightly longer in the back. It’s not too clingy and it can be worn with a regular or sports bra.
Fit tips: Tank, L // cardigan size down if in-between // Jeans tts, 12 // loafers size up 1/2 if in-between
Somehow I missed taking a pic of this adorable fall outfit! I tried the cardigan with workwear and the shoes with jeans but never got it all on my body at the same time. I love this new bag strap with blue and a bit of gold shimmer for fall.
While my monogrammed bag is Madewell this one from Amazon is an affordable alternative.
Fit Tips: size up if in-between
I was on the hunt for an alternative to a mule and something that would coordinate with the rich warm hues of fall and fell in love with these loafers. They felt tight when I first put them on but as I wore them they loosened and bit. I would still say if you are in-between go up but also walk in them a bit before you decide if your size is correct.
Fit Tips: If in-between size up
I’ve been on the hunt to find another Amazon seller that has good pointed toe flats since my last one shut down (there was something with the name they were using?!) So I grabbed these light tan ones and was pretty happy. I like the neutral color and stretchy fit.
