Fit Tips: Dress tts, L // Pumps tts
Lately I’ve had so many questions on wedding guest dresses and maybe I’m out of the circuit of having to attend so I don’t think about it much! Every time I get this question though it’s so tough to respond. I ask is it formal, informal, outside, late or early fall… ahhhh!!!!
Since I think each event can really be unique in it’s feel I’m going to give you an idea of my wedding. My husband and I were married November 10, 2007 in Dripping Springs, TX. This area is considered Texas Hill Country with rolling hills and lots of wide open ranches.
We had a daytime wedding and cocktail hour consisted of watching our college football teams battle it out while drinking beer, wine and light appetizers. Our rehearsal dinner was at the famous Salt Lick BBQ and I wore jeans. This is how I roll. Kinda fancy, kinda casual not too over the top but a pinch of bougie.
In Texas even in November it can be warm, I remember the weather was actually really nice and being outside in a sleeveless dress was pleasant. As a guest I like having a sleeveless dress since even if it’s a little cold I know I’m going to be tearing up the dance floor later and sweating my booty off!
Which as you can see I have the moves…
I also love a dress with a bit of stretch or flow. Honestly I’ve never been to a super fancy wedding like you see now on social media. Yes I’ve been to some very nice and expensive events but all the weddings I’ve attended have always been the semi-casual vs black tie type of events.
With all that said if you are headed to a wedding this season and need some options here are some great ones for you at a couple of price points!
