Holiday Decor | Dining Room Table
Welcome friends back to our home! This time I’m giving a quick tour of our dining room table. Prior to this year I have always decorated in silvers and gold similar to our tree decor but this year I got traditional and did a more formal red and green.
While our table might not be the most “updated” furniture in our home I love it because it has a lot of sentimental meaning. When my husband and I were dating I hosted my first Thanksgiving with his family yet we didn’t have a big enough table to seat everyone. His parents sent some money to go purchase a table, he found one that was a floor model at Pottery Barn on sale. He borrowed a minivan and brought it home 2 days before Thanksgiving. We have hosted his parents every holiday since 2004 when we got it.
I’ve always loved the look of layering a table runner with an angled throw so you can see bits of the table and have some nice colors to play off of. This exact green throw was from my FabfitFun fall box from Arhaus but they no longer carry it. Typically I look for a blanket scarf or lightweight cotton throw and they make an amazing (and inexpensive) bottom layer.
If you want to grab something that matches or coordinates with these plaid napkins there are a few options for tablecloths and runners from the Magnolia collection at Target the napkins came from. My table runner happens to be one I found on Amazon that looks so much more expensive that it is plus comes in a ton of lengths.
This year I ordered this fresh centerpiece from L.L.Bean and was floored on the quality and freshness. This was even after leaving it in the box for about a day because I forgot what was in it!
I was so happy with it I ended up sending a smaller arrangement to my dad out of town and he was so surprised and loved his as well.

One of the reasons I even changed my decor this year was for these beautiful wood ornament tags from my friends at Sunny & Southern. They have been so kind and in the past 3 years sent us custom wood ornaments with our names on them. This year the new “tag” style just called to me and I thought I would use them on packages but I love them even more as name cards.
There are a ton of style to choose from and while they are 50% off it’s a great time to stock up for gifts. Use code RYANNE15 for additional 15% off the sale price!
I’ve always stuck to my everyday flatware when we have dinner but this year I thought how fun to have some fancy gold flatware, but I did not want to spend too much. This set from Amazon is more of a matte gold and comes in a set of 8 for under $60. While I haven’t actually used them yet they have a great weight and look pretty so I still think money well spent!
This year we are also excited to have our girl Cider join in the holiday festivities! While she might think she is invited to dinner she is not, but I had to get her in to show you all how BIG she is getting.
Fit Tips: blouse size down if in-between, L // Jeans size up if in-between & high waisted, 12 // pumps tts
My dinner outfit is exactly what I like for the holiday season, something pretty but also sort of casual. This blouse form Evereve in green is so pretty and the arm ruffles make it feel festive. It can be slightly low cut so size down if in-between or grab a cami for bending over a table (if ya know what I mean!)
Cheers friends I hope you have some wonderful gatherings this holiday season. I know that I sure am looking forward to sharing some meals with friends and family.
