I LOVE makeup and while I have a whole stash of fun palettes and colors on an everyday basis I need pretty, quick and easy! I’m excited to share my five minute everyday makeup routine. Over the years I’ve tried a number of different brands and products but over the past year these have been my go-to for a natural, fresh-faced kind of look.
See my full routine in this video:
First up is a new product I started using a few months ago and instantly fell in LOVE! Tarte made a Shape Tape Cloud Foundation that is lightweight, medium coverage and has SPF 15 sunscreen. I had never been a huge foundation person because I don’t love completely covering my freckles so this has just that perfect balance while also being transfer proof (yes I’ve fallen asleep with it on and did not see anything on my white pillowcases).
Lex the amazing Tarte makeup artist that introduced me to the product encouraged me to try 2 colors that way I could blend them based on how tan I am at the time. I use 22N & 16N and it’s a perfect mix for my complexion.
Next I use the Shape Tape ULTRA creamy concealer under my eyes to brighten them and hide any tired mom looks. I never liked the original formulation so I was hesitant to try this new version but it is amazing. It doesn’t settle into lines and stays creamy and bendable. While I love the angled makeup sponge Tarte has you can find similar versions on Amazon for much less.
I normally go a shade lighter for that bright eye look and can switch between 16N & 12N. Then I set my t-zone and under eye with Dermablend setting powder. This helps keep my makeup on all day even in the brutal Texas summers!
Next I will add my Milk Bronzer Stick. I swipe across my forehead close to my hairline, under my cheekbone and under my jaw line. I typically use the wide side of my makeup blender to blend down into my forehead, then blend my cheeks into the hairline and temple. Then on my jaw I blend down into my neck making the illusion of a jaw line!
After that I use a blush brush (I love this set from Tarte) to brush on my Halogen Blush. I use the Sublime Flush color for a peachy/ pink color. Now in the summers I typically will use a cream blush stick from Ilia in Last Bird but right now I’m liking the finish of the powder with a little bit of shimmer to it.
My go-to every day eye palette is the In Bloom from Tarte. I use charmer on my whole lid, rocker in my crease and then either somehow or activist in the corners for some dimension. Then I will come back and add funny girl in the corners of my eye lid to give a little pop.
The Tarte 5 star bush set has 2 great eye brushes but I’ll also add in one more flat eye shadow brush for the funny girl color.
After my eyeshadow is done I will fill in my brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills – Brow Wiz in soft brown and Covergirl Lash Blast in Very Black mascara. I’m not a huge eyeliner girl but on days that I feel like I need a little something I like the soft feel of the MAC Technakohl Liner Eyeliner in photogravure since it’s a good brown without being too harsh.
Next up is lips, now if you watch my stories you know I’m not a dark lip kind of girl. I say it’s because my mom always wore dark lipstick and 90% of the tome it ended up on her teeth! So I typically stick to hydrating glosses. I love the Tarte Tinted Juicy Lip Balm because it has a bunch of shades depending on how much color I want plus a plump and hydration.
I also regularly use Dior Addict Lip Glow this feels more like a chapstick but it “awakens the natural color of lips with a custom glow” along with up to 24 hours of hydration. I have the bronze color which I can no longer find but it comes in many natural looking colors to choose from.
So that’s about it! My 5 minute face I can throw on and run out the door for whatever I have going on that day! I am so lucky that since Tarte found out how much I adore their products they have given me a 15% off code you can use for your purchase (not valid on all items or bundles).
