Boo Baskets

Last year we saw the HUGE trend of boo baskets. Now if you are saying what the heck is a boo basket – it’s basically a Halloween themed gift package, similar to an Easter basket but for October. Typically filled with treats, toys, books, or cozy items. It shot in popularity when people would leave on friend’s doorsteps anonymously with a tag saying “You’ve Been Boo’d!” to spread seasonal cheer. 

This has morphed into a general seasonal basket for friends, kids and teachers as a welcoming to the fall season. This year I’m seeing boo basket ideas EVERYWHERE so I put together some for my kids and friends and made shopping lists from Amazon, Walmart and Target if you want to put together your own!

THE STUFF

Not gonna lie, what started off as a trip with my daughter to Ulta to find some fun fall beauty items to use while watching Gilmore Girls morphed into me finding EVERYTHING fall themed I could get my hands on. At this point it’s a problem- but I love fall and everything warm, cozy and pumpkin scented! Then I found all the fall romance books at Target and was knew that I wasn’t stopping anytime soon and needed to start putting these together to gift to friends!

THE BASKETS

Since Boo Baskets have become so popular this year we are seeing even more basket options! The Eek and Boo boxes are great for treats but a little small to add gifts into. The Pumpkin and cat hold a ton and are under $5 making them a great affordable option. The fuzzy baskets from Target come in two sizes and several colors, I found the smaller basket to be a good size for what I needed but like that the larger one has handles. Finally the ghost and pumpkin boxes are so cute and really good if you are shipping gifts.

THE GIFTS

Obviously there are a ton of combinations of gifts and baskets that can be made I put together a few that I loved. I will say all the books I have are more “adult” romances so if you are gifting to teens or tweens I’d switch out the book!
