Shhhh don’t tell anyone but I REALLY don’t care about the Super Bowl. I KNOW I must not live in Texas but to be honest I’m just more of a college ball girl. I say I don’t care about the Super Bowl but really I just don’t care about the teams playing.
I DO CARE about the amazing commercials, halftime show and of course the snacks! Since this year it will be just our family watching the game I figured I would whip up my MIL’s cheese ball recipe.

Camo Pullover (L)| Jeans (12) | Sneakers (tts)
This cheeseball has been a favorite for YEARS and my MIL makes it for nearly every family gathering because we all devour it. It has some pretty interesting ingredients though.
First Dried Beef, if you have never heard of this (I hadn’t) it’s found near the other canned meats like tuna.

The other ingredient that is crucial but I had not heard of before I made this cheeseball is Accent. If you look at the description it says it enhances the flavor of meat. Basically it’s MSG. WHAT?!
Yeah I know the secret weapon of most Asian dishes is in my cheese ball. You can take it out but honestly it doesn’t taste the same.
The basic directions are chop the green onions & dried beef, add olives and accent and mix. I’ve always found it easiest to just mix with my hands.

Then shape into two balls and refrigerate. Once cold roll in chopped pecans. For the football shape, make into oval before rolling in pecans then flatten the top. Slice up string cheese for laces.
