Not only did I have a collection launch last month but soo may great items hit the Gibsonlook website in September so I figured I should recap all the new goodness! Collections were launched by Jen from Haute off the Rack, Erin from Living in Yellow, Nasreen from Hey Nasreen, Sarah from The Mom in Style as well as myself. To see my fall blouses head to this post.
Overall this season I have seen most of the Gibsonlook blouses fit more slim. I talked with the CEO Suzie and she said the extra blousey feel of the old tunics and shells is out and they have replaced it with a slightly slimmer cut. With that said this month nearly all my tops needed to be a large to ensure that I had enough chest room.
I mixed and matched this month with a bunch of new bottoms from places like Spanx, NYDJ, Nordstrom and JCrew to give you a balance of workwear & weekend looks.
For my overall stats I’m 5’5 wear a 10/L top with a 36DD bra. In dresses I almost always wear a large but some in the past have run large due to the fabric and I will note that.

Blouse | Similar NYDJ Pants | Ann Taylor Pumps | Bar Necklace
Fit Tips: Blouse size up for larger chest, L // Pants run long 12P this “straight” style has sold out but linking similar flare pull-on ponte pant
This new blouse it the perfect mix of comfy and cute for work! It’s in their lightweight cozy fleece material with a fun sleeve detail. While I maybe could have done a medium I prefer to have a looser fit with this fabric and like the large best. These NYDJ Ponte pants are amazing and while we wait for the straight leg fit to come back in stock grab the flare!.
Padded Shoulder Sweatshirt | Scoop Jeans | J Crew Sneakers
Fit Tips: Sweatshirt, L // Jeans tts run a bit higher rise, 12 // Sneakers tts
It’s funny every time I think to myself ok maybe I’ll try a trend I take your pulse and it was about a 99% no thank you on this style top. Many of you mentioned already living through the 80s and girl I get ya! I don’t think this trend is fore me either but in case you were looking for a strong shoulder sweatshirt Gibson has you covered!
Mock Neck Tank | KUT distressed button fly jeans | Booties
Fit Tips: Top, L // Jeans tts, 12 but run long // booties size up 1/2
While I love the color of this mock neck tank, fit is not my favorite. The slits are really high on the sides and the mock neck kind twists around a weird way on me. It has a good amount of stretch which is great.
Blouse | Spanx Flare Jeans | Booties | Similar Booties | Hoop Earrings | Modern Wine Glass
Fit Tips: Blouse tts, L // Jeans XLP // Booties size up 1/2

The second I pulled this blouse out of the box I was like OMG I’m in love! Gibsonlook has done a few one shoulder blouses and this one fit the best. It is lined in the body and has a pretty removable tie waist.
Blouse | Necklace | J Crew Pants | Pumps
Fit Tips: Blouse runs tight across chest, L // pants tts, 12 // Pumps tts
This blouse I originally got in a medium and I could barely pull down over my chest! It was soo tight so I went ahead and got the large and it’s so much better. It is lined in the body and the buttons are functional.
Duster Cardigan | Wit & Wisdom Jeans | Cami | Necklace | Shoes
Fit Tips: Duster can be worn also as a dress size up 1-2 for that look, L // Cami, L // Jeans size down if in-between 12P and had to cut for length // Sandals size up 1/2
This duster is an interesting piece! If you size up 1-2 sizes it can be worn as a dress or stay true to size for a long cozy cardigan. I was surprised how soft this one is and love the color.
Green Notch Collar Blazer | Evereve Blouse | NYDJ Petite Trouser Pants (more sizes) | Pumps | Necklace
Fit Tips: Blazer runs tts I get a medium for more fitted look but stick to true size to button, M // Blouse, L // Pants 12P
Now this month Gibsonlook brought back a favorite in 2 new colors!! The notch collar blazer has been a long time love for me and as soon as I heard these colors were coming I knew I needed them ASAP!
Blazer | Spanx Bodysuit | Spanx Flare Jeans
Fit Tips: Blazer runs tts I get a medium for more fitted look but stick to true size to button, M // Bodysuit, L but it is slightly sheer // Spanx jeans XLP
While I’m talking about the new colors of the blazer let’s also have a moment for these new release pull-on Spanx flare jeans!! They are super slimming and have a wider waistband. I need a petite for length so when I buy petite I size up in the pant.
Off the Shoulder Dress | Pumps | Necklace
Fit Tips: Dress size down if in-between I’m in a M but could have done a large for more slouch in it
This dress is another stunner! It’s a thicker ponte style material so soft and stretchy. I love the off the shoulder look and with a tie belt it feels like pjs but looks like a million bucks!
Fit Tips: Dress tts, L // Boots tts
When I put this dress on I knew immediately it would be a hit! It fits very similar to the Fancy Ashley dress that came out in early fall yet this one is lined in the cream color and no longer has tassels. It is a shorter mini style so just know it runs on the short side.
Dress | Booties | Similar Necklace
Fit Tips: Dress tts, L // Booties size up 1/2
When I originally saw this sweater dress I thought it would be super heavy and too boxy but when I saw it on Sarah from The Mom in Style I knew I needed it! It’s actually a light weight knit and the fabric lays well without adding too much bulk. I wore this during a store opening and really loved it.
Cowl Neck Sweater | Jeans | Similar Booties
Fit Tips: This sweater was sent in a size M and didn’t love how tight it felt, would prefer L // Jeans tts, 12
This turtleneck is made from the same waffle material that I loved in the slouch sweater from last winter. I will say that I was sent this in a medium and really need a large for the slouchy feel it needs. Also keep in mind this fabric does shrink a bit even if you hang dry so size up if in-between!
