Essentially the benefit of double cleansing is that the first cleanser will break down any makeup, remove dirt and excess oils from the day and clean your skin. The second cleanser will address your particular skin type or concern and should have ingredients to hydrate, smooth or exfoliate.
Their best selling product is the Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. This product is amazing as the first cleaning step because it works in a few ways. It goes on as a soothing balm easily removing make-up then adding water it emulsifies to a hydrating milk that easily rinses off and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.
Like other cleansing beams I’ve tried it has that thick petroleum jelly kind of texture putting it on your face but this one quickly melts in and feels more like an oil. I was shocked on how well it removes makeup even mascara!
I loved also that ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balms come in a couple formulations and scents. They just recently launched the Pro-Collagen Naked Cleansing Balm that is fragrance-free for those of you that don’t love a scent in your skincare.
I on the other hand have been using the Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm which is formatted for sensitive skin but I just love the SMELL! Not only can it be used as a cleanser but it’s also a make-up remover, facial mask, and a dry skin treatment.
For cleansing I warm a a pea-size amount of cleansing balm and massage over the face, neck and décolleté. Moisten fingertips and continue a circular massage. Remove with a warm, damp cleansing cloth (included). For a more intense treatment, apply a generous amount on your face and leave on for 10 minutes.
Then I use the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash as my 2nd cleanse to remove dulling pollutants, dirt and impurities from the skin. It’s a light foaming gel cleanser and after both steps my skin feels radiant and soft.
After that everyone needs a great eye treatment, right?! I work close about 40 hours a week at the computer and I know it’s taken a toll on my eyes.
