Gibson X Hi Sugarplum Restock Update

When I first saw the sneaks of this collection I had a feeling it was going to be popular but OMG the sell outs on this have been insane! Tons of the popular pieces sold out the first day and they have not been able to restock. Great news though I tried to snag as many of the styles as possible to give you accurate fit and sizing because this collection will be restocking soon and coming out with new prints and colors in March- April. Since I like to do my best to stay one step ahead I have given you what I read on restock updates and my guesses on what the new colors/ prints might be.

Before we get started let’s just get the awkward “get to know you” out of the way so I’m 5’5 typically a size 10/12 depending on the brand and 36DD. This means in a lot of things if I want a pant to be ankle length I need a short or petite.

The second I saw this brown & white polkadot I thought oh man so cute and anything that reminds me of the beautiful Julia Roberts is a win! I got this in my true medium size and it was huge at the armholes! I was told by a few people you can adjust the back tie up enough so it tightens it enough but then the front was too short. I ordered this again in a small (different color because the brown has been sold out for awhile) and it is better so I would recommend sizing down if loose arm holes bother you. Once I got the small in I could completely appreciate the flowiness and gorgeous hi/low fit to the top. I am definitely looking forward to a color restock so I can grab the brown again.

Projected Re-release: So bad news first, it does not sound like this one is NOT getting fully restocked or getting new colors. I’ll be checking online daily for returns because it sounds like that’s the only way I’m getting my brown..boo!

Fit Tips: Size down in top, jean crops linked are the high waist but have the stretchy interior waistband so size down if in-between. Wedges size up 1/2 size.

Just a quick shout out to this adorable bamboo bag that I have paired with this top but truly you will see me sporting with all these outfits. It’s under $35 and available from Amazon, I got the small size.

This jersey romper is the perfect throw over a bathing suit piece, it is stretchy, soft and cozy. The only problem in sizing for me is the waistband was a little tight in the medium, I’m hoping losing a few winter lbs will solve this problem but if you carry weight in your mid section just know you might need to size up.

Projected Re-release: New colors late March, early April. My color wish: I seriously can’t remember if this came in a solid black but if not I want it, also I would love to see this in the yellow!

Fit Tips: Fits true to size in the body and a bit tight around the waist, if that’s not a problem area stick to your true size, if it is then size up. Flip flops size up 1/2 size. Earrings are the peach pearl color.

Short girls who love pockets united! This Maxi dress that hits at my ankle at 5’5 was apparently what every short girl in the nation had been looking for because it sold out FAST! I totally thought I had my sizing down on this one and ordered two prints in medium and they were too tight in the bust… NOOOO! I absolutely loved everything else about this including that it’s lined and has pockets. I’m hoping the size up to a large will help with the boob issue because this print matches my monogrammed beach hat perfectly!

Projected Re-release: Early March My color wish: I want this birds of paradise back hardcore but honestly I also wish that the palm print was a pink/ white (not the grayish fern green it was matched with) I also foresee this coming back in the Santorini blue and the dahlia vines that the swing dress came in. 

Fit Tips: If you are smaller busted stay true to size, larger busted size up. If you are taller just know that this will hit you in the calf not the ankle (see the online model pics for reference)

This tank I was a little hesitant at first on grabbing since from the front it looks like a plain ol’ v neck but once I saw how it had that great not too tight, just the right length flowy body to it I knew that it could be a winner. Now I got the white because I honestly wanted to see how sheer it is and I was happy that it was not bad with the right bra! I also LOVE the pink color but once I tried on my black and white I realized I picked well because I have a ton of bright colored Vineyard Vines shorts (my favs!) and it would be super cute with these bright blue shorts from last season.

Projected Re-release: It sounds like since the detailed embroidery is more of a special order there will not be a re-release of this exact top so grab returns as they come back in for this style.

Fit Tips: Dress runs true to size and I’m in a medium. The denim jacket has some good stretch and runs tts but check the size guide because I’m a large in this. Flip Flops size up 1/2 size.

Alright if you made it this far you deserve some honesty… I kind of think the embroidered shirts look tacky. I grew up going to Mexico every year for Christmas and see most of them and think ugh I could buy that for $5 in Ixtapa. Since I live in Texas so there are a few “fiesta” themed events I have been invited to and realized I have NOTHING to wear so this was as festive as I wanted to get. I love the pink on pink where it still has that Mexico vibe but not over the top, plus it’s SOFT! Unlike so many of the other embroidered shirts it’s not stiff and uncomfortable. Now I’m set for National Margarita Day on February 22nd!

Projected Re-release: Sounds like due to embroidery and maybe since it didn’t immediately sell out this will not return in more colors.

If you saw my Instagram stories you saw that this tank I WON! Yes you heard that right, I was stalking all things Gibson sneak peaks and about a day before the release if you guessed the name of the item you could win one and I did. I was shocked though when they sent me two! I know that compared to some other tanks these are a bit more pricey but I will tell you the fit is awesome. It has a great scoop that’s low but not too low and fits the chest but flows away from the belly. Hopefully you are painfully aware of my stripe love but this yellow was a great surprise.

Projected Re-release: This was released in several colors that are still available so it does not seem as though this will be part of the restock.
