Ahhhh friends I am so excited to share that tomorrow I’m headed back to Denver to see my husband for our 15 year anniversary. We will be spending a night at a fun hotel in the mountains and then I get to see the townhome that we will be staying in for a few months while our home is getting finished being built.

We went back and forth (a few times) on if we were going to spend one my Christmas in Texas or make the move to Denver and celebrate there. One of the biggest issues is that our home items will not arrive BEFORE Christmas so this weekend I’m going to be decorating the new place for the holidays to surprise the kids when they arrive in December.

I love playing Santa and making the home feel as magical for my kids but this time around I really had to do it on a budget because I didn’t want to buy ALL new decor but rather sprinkle a bit of holidays that I can then incorporate next year when we have all our decor in the new house.

To be honest my first stop is always Target! They have such cute items at really affordable prices, plus it was easy to have it shipped straight to my husband in Colorado and not have to pack any of items. Here are some of the holiday items I found!

Next stop is Walmart! Last year I found so many great items that I checked and a ton were back for this year. I love these hohoho pillows so much that I wear ahead and had 2 more shipped to the new house for decor on the kids beds.

Unfortunately, my Nutcracker print was too large to bring but it will for sure go back up next year when we are in the new home because I LOVE Nutcrackers and have a rather large collection.
