Summer Girls Weekend Packing List

Many of you know I headed to Austin for a quick trip to see my girlfriends and since I was packing anyway I figured I would put together a quick capsule that all fits in my Calpak carry-on suitcase. Here’s what I packed:

  • 3 Pairs of Shoes (wore one pair on the plane but all 3 fit in suitcase)
  • 3 Tops (2 tanks and one long sleeve)
  • 2 Denim Jackets for layering
  • Lightweight Pull-on pants
  • Casual Tank Dress
  • Dressy Maxi Dress
  • Denim Shorts
  • Straight Leg Distressed Jeans
  • Strapless Bra
  • Convertible Wireless Bra (great for travel)
  • Undies / Shapewear if needed
  • Cool Nights PJs
  • Clutch
  • Toiletry Bag
  • Travel Blowdryer
  • Curling Iron
  • Brush / Round Brush

T3 Blowdryer | Brush Set | 2.5″ Round Brush | 1″ Curling Iron | Microfiber lined Showercap

Travel Bag | Olaplex Bond Smoother | Olaplex Travel Size Shampoo | Olaplex Travel Size Conditioner | Colleen Rothschild Hair Travel Set | Elemis Travel Skincare Set  | Elemis Eye Mask | Charlotte Tilbury mini Magic Cream| Drybar Sparkling Soda Mini | Similar Mini hairspray| Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo Mini | Billie Razor & Cover| Dove Deodorant | Invisalign & Cleaner | Lumify Eye Drops| Travel Aquaphor| Mini Tweezers | Travel Toothpaste | Quip Toothbrush | Slip Skinny Hairties| Drybar hair clip

I need to mention I also brought this under the seat bag which I packed these items:

All of this then turned into 5 outfits for a weekend of fun!

Outfit #1 (Travel Day)
Denim Jacket | Tank | Beach Pants | BudHagirl Bracelets | Crossbody Bag | Under Seat Bag | Spinner Suitcase
Fit Tips: Denim Jacket, M // Tank, L // Beach Pants, L

This first day outfit was PERFECT for the plane because I was a little hot and able to take off my jacket and stuff it in my under the seat bag. The pants are lightweight and comfortable so great for sitting (car or plane). Once I got to my friends house I felt dressed enough where we could grab lunch or a casual dinner. While this tank is on the pricey side I instantly fell in love because it is thicker than most (white is not sheer at all) and the v-neck is so flattering versus just a regular scoop neck.

Outfit #2 Hanging Out Casual
Graphic Tank | Denim Shorts | Flip Flops | BudHagirl Bracelets | Coin Necklace
Fit Tips: Tank, L // Denim Shorts tts, 12

Next outfit is one I would have worn if I was staying longer! I love this fun graphic tank because in Texas it’s HOT in the summer but it adds a little something fun that just a plain tee doesn’t. I find this brand to run slightly small so size up if in-between. These KUT from the Kloth shorts I grabbed because they are a longer inseam and LOVE that when I know I’m going to be walking a lot. These are actually the only ones I ended up wearing at Disney!

Outfit #3 Dinner & Drinks
Maxi Dress | Strapless Bra | Clear Heeled Sandals | Clutch | Denim Jacket (optional)
Fit Tips: Dress, L // Shoes size up 1/2 // Denim Jacket, L

Honestly this dress is a show stopper! I felt stunning in it and my friend Kelly saw it and immediately bought it. While the online reviews say it’s sheer I didn’t find it to be. I’m in a large and I still have some room but I would not go down a size because I would loose the accordion effect. I am 5’5″ and the dress runs longer, so it’s a great dress if you are taller as well!

Outfit #4 Shopping & Sightseeing
Tank Dress | Denim Jacket | Sneakers | White Stretchy Bracelets | Coin Necklace
Fit Tips: Dress, 3 (L) // Shoes tts // Denim Jacket, M

This Sundry Weekeneder dress can be a little overwhelming because the sizes are 1-4 but a size 3=L so that’s what I grabbed. I love the brighter coral color and with a cute denim or white jacket it’s great for an elevated casual look. While I do want to mention the skirt part of this dress is pretty fitted so if you are concerned about thigh rub (I am) I would throw on some lightweight shape wear.

Outfit #5 Travel Day Home’
Linen Shirt (similar short sleeve)| Straight Leg Jeans | Flip Flops | BudHagirl Bracelets
Fit Tips: Linen Shirt, L // Jeans size up, 32

Then like all great trips it comes to a close, boo! I wore this linen shirt because it’s lightweight and great on it’s own but also gives another layering option in my suitcase. It could be thrown over a graphic tank, swimsuit or worn on it’s own like here. Same thing with these distressed jeans, had it been a bit colder I could wear these with the graphic tank or v-neck tank for other mix and match options.

I hope you love this mini getaway capsule from Evereve. If you have not shopped there before I love that they carry many brands that I love but in a smaller boutique setting. We have one in Southlake, Texas and the women there are amazing and so helpful when I need to pop in for a last minute event.

This is the best, most comprehensive, and most relatable packing post I’ve seen. Thanks! (Does Evereve ever have coupon codes?)
