Summer Staple: Skorts for all occasions

For the past two years I’ve been adding more and more skorts to my summer wardrobe and I LOVE them! It’s a perfect way to be cool and comfortable yet still look put together. When I started posting some of my favorite skorts I kept hearing we want to see more outfits!

Many of you have asked for items at various price points so today I’m partnering with to show you how to style two skorts. I have been loving many of the finds at Walmart and with free 2 day shipping over $35+ and easy returns (in case stuff doesn’t fit) I’m happy to share more of my finds!

When shopping online at I always make sure the things I order are listed as ‘sold and shipped by’ to ensure easy returns and fastest shipping options.

White Skort Styled 3 ways for Summer 2020: Walmart Fashion

Weekend Look: Athletic Works Woven Skort // Graphic T-Shirt // Time and Tru Women’s Denim Jacket // Toe Loop Strappy Flat Sandal

Beach Look: Athletic Works Woven Skort // Sofia Vergara® x Foster Grant® Sunglasses // Time and Tru Pocket Tank Top //  Embroidered Leaf Tote // Scoop Gold Strappy Sandals

Work from Home Look: Athletic Works Woven Skort // Ruched Front Peplum Hem Printed Tank Top // Lightweight Scrunch Sleeve Linen-Blend Blazer // Canyon Thong Sandal

I love white in the summer and with a skort you get the best of both worlds of shorts and a cute skirt. This one is a little bit more sheer than I had originally hoped but the skirt is full enough that there is no pulling so the undershorts do help make the full look more opaque. I wear a L so if in-between size up.

Pairing it with a stretchy denim jacket and tee is perfect for running around with the kids. The tee fits true to size but I sized up to a L for looser fit. The jacket size down if in-between I first ordered the L and it was huge but the M is perfect. White sandals first true to size.

My friend Ja’Net raved about these v-neck tanks a few weeks back and since we both live in TX I’m always on the hunt for sleeveless. They have been so popular that sizes have been selling out quickly but size down if in-between I wear a M for a more fitted look.

Now I’m sure you are thinking wait dressing up a skort? Yes It can totally be done! I styled this with the blouse tucked in and jacket over but if you want to keep it untucked this also looks cute with some white denim jeans. Either way most of the time if you are doing Zoom meetings no one sees your bottom half!

Black Skort Styled 3 ways for summer 2020: Walmart fashion

Pool: Athletic Works Woven Skort // Sofia Vergara® x Foster Grant® Sunglasses // Women’s Strappy Black One Piece Swimsuit // Printed Tote Handbag Purse // Harper Toe Ring Slide Sandals

With the kids outfit: Athletic Works Woven Skort // Mesh Back Perforated Tank // Athletic Works Soft Running Sneaker // Champion Billboard Backpack

Casual Date Night Outfit: Athletic Works Woven Skort // Square Neck Leopard Print Blouse // Ankle Strap Thong Flat // Round Crossbody Bag

Since this is the same skort just on black the sizing is identical (L so if in-between size up) and it is the same lighter material so if you are looking for a skort that is light this is it!

When I grabbed this strappy swimsuit last month I had no idea how much I would LOVE it! It fits amazing and just by adding a skort, cute tote and sunglasses this is an easy around the water look. The swimsuit fits tts, size up if in-between I wear in a L.

This spring and summer I’ve been trying to get out and about with the kids. We have explored more local parks, trails and nature than all the 6 years prior so I’ve realized a good backpack and breathable tank is a MUST! This active tank is mesh in the back and very lightweight but size up if in-between I grabbed a M and it was way too small, needed a L.

The final skort look is for date night! Honestly date night can be drinks in the backyard or picking up tacos if I’m with my hubby, any time alone without kids is a date in my books!
