Summer Workwear

Today I am so excited to share with you another workwear round up. This time I pulled a ton of options from Amazon and Target perfect for those busy working ladies that don’t have time to go to a million different stores to update their work basics. I was asked from a few of you on how to look put together as the weather gets warmer so I pulled together several looks that are great for work but you are not going to feel a sweaty mess!

For sizing reference I am a 10/12 in bottoms, in tops I’m a 36DD and typically wear a M. I’m 5’5 so pant length can be tough since I can vary between regular and petite.

Cardigan | Cami | Pants | Heels | Crossbody

This first look is from Target and I grabbed it awhile back just WAITING for the adorable cami and it’s finally available online. It’s fully lined and has a raised pattern that makes it look great under a cardigan or blazer or on its own.

These ankle pants are a pull-on style with stretchy knit waistband and feel like wind pants but look great in a business casual outfit. Since these are so lightweight they are perfect for those of you that work in and outside but still need to look put together. I could not believe how comfy the entire outfit was. Although I know a lot of offices get cold in the summer with AC I grabbed this lightweight cardigan to throw on top.

White Blazer | Faux Wrap Dress | Similar Navy Blazer | Pumps

Fit Tips: Dress size down if in-between, M // White blazer tts, M // Pumps tts

My next summer workwear trick is lightweight dresses. I grabbed a few from Amazon to try in various styles to see which ones I were the best. The first is a faux wrap dress that has the perfect cap sleeve for those that have a workplace where “sleeveless” is not allowed. I LOVED that this dress has a faux wrap front so even if you untie the belt your dress is not coming undone.

This is the trailing floral print but comes in 8 colors and prints including classic black & navy. I love this print though because of the versatility of jackets you can wear with it. Since it’s under $40 go ahead and grab a few!

Wrap Dress | Pumps

Fit Tips: Dress size down if in-between, M

This true wrap dress has a very similar ruching as the faux wrap version but this one fully opens. Luckily this has a button at the side to help keep the wrap closed. For many true wrap dresses I have issues with not enough fabric to cover my chest but this one has a good amount of coverage. Since this dress comes in 28 prints and colors and under $40 its a great summer option.

No-button Shirtdress | Similar Heels

Fit Tips: Dress size down if in-between, 10

This dress was a winner because it’s lined, a good length and a cute tab sleeve. What blew my mind that although it’s a shirtdress it has no buttons so no worries about it coming open! The drawback to this is it only comes in two prints and it’s a little bit more than some of the other Amazon dresses at $49.

Top | Pull-on Skirt | Earrings

Fit Tips: Skirt size up if in-between, L // Top size up if in-between, L

The final summer work look includes a knit pull-on skirt that because it stretches and moves with me it doesn’t feel hot and constricting. Since this type of skirt can look very casual I dressed it up a bit by adding this soft ruffle collar top in black. Add some fun earrings and you got a chic look that feels like pjs.
