It’s capsule time!! I asked what you wanted to see and it was an overwhelming vote for LOFT & business casual so I decided to do a fun and colorful mix up for the new year. As a business professional I always wanted to find items that I could wear to work but then dress down for the weekend. In the past year I have become a MAJOR LOFT addict because of their great sales, selection of cute workwear/ weekend wear and size inclusiveness.
This capsule includes 8 core pieces from LOFT (4 tops/ 4 bottoms) with 4 jackets/ vests to layer and 4 pairs of shoes (I did wear a bootie in one of the skirt pics because I liked it better but you see what you love!)

SIZING
I will be completely honest, over the past month I have gained a good 5-8 stress pounds. Staying up too late getting everything done for the holidays, lots of wine and cheeseboards and poof I’m fluffy feeling once again. If you are in the same boat I love that LOFT has petite, plus and even maternity sizing set no matter what your body is currently doing they have us covered!
Let’s also talk sizing, I’m 5’5 and typically wear a size M/10 top, I’m a 36DD so I do have to worry about items being tighter across the chest or too low cut. In LOFT bottoms I’m closer to a true 12 these days and I prefer the petite for length and modern fit since my hips are smaller and thighs bigger.
Here is how each item fit:

Outfit #4: Pearl Cuff Sweater, Black Skinny Pant, Red Pointed Toe, Red Tote, Similar Loft Statement Necklace, Hoop Earrings
I started the capsule with the LOFT skinny black ankle pant because I feel like these are a wardrobe staple and a great pair of pants to mix and match with. These have a nice thicker waistband and seaming down the back of the leg to elevate the look.
These pants fit me the best in the modern fit since my hips are not curvy and I have larger thighs. I size up to 12 for the petite length at 5’5 they hit right at my ankle. Now I know it’s winter and several of you have asked for full length pants. The LOFT straight leg pant or trouser pant (with a bit of a bootcut) are also GREAT options and fit very similar to these.

Outfit #5: Blazer, Pink Sweater, Green Puff Sleeve Blouse, Green velvet pant, leopard pump, hoop earring
Outfit #6: Black Henley, Plaid Vest, Green Velvet Pant, Knee High Boots
Outfit #7: Pearl Cuff Sweater, Green Velvet Pant, Red Tote, Leopard Heels
These green velvet pants are so fun for winter and dress up any outfit. Unfortunately they are selling out quick so there are a few alternative green pants from LOFT but none that are exactly this tone of green. These slim ankle pants fit very similar to the black pair and can be mixed in pretty easily instead of the velvet. These do run a little small so size up if in-between, I have them in 12 petite.

Outfit #9: Black Henley, Jeans, Leopard belt, Knee High Boots, Fur Vest, Fabia Earrings, Sequin wrap bracelet & boho cuff

Outfit #11: Pearl Sleeve Sweater, Jeans, Red Pointed Toe, Pink Jacket, Hoop Earrings
Now every time I ask do you want to see business or casual it’s a lot of business casual with some casual mixed in so I’ve been trying to add looks with jeans in every capsule. These LOFT jeans are PERFECT for a workplace where a “professional” looking jean is acceptable. Now the day that I took these pictures it was super overcast and I had to brighten a lot of the colors so know that these are a little less blue in person than what you see here.
I also I paired the blazer with a few of these looks because if you are in a business casual environment and can wear jeans I like to dress up the look a bit with a blazer.

Puff Sleeve Blouse detail (keep in mind all jackets run long in the arms for me so this is cuffed up to see detail)

Detail on Victoria Emerson boho cuff (this style sold out similar linked above) and sequin double wrap bracelet (currently BOGO FREE!)

Outfit #12: Pink Sweater, Skirt, Tights, Ankle Bootie, Red Tote
Outfit #13: Black Henley, Skirt, Pink Coat, Knee High Boots
Outfit #14: Pearl Sleeve Sweater, Skirt, Red Pointed Toe, Red Tote
Now this skirt jumped at me because of the fun colors and gorgeous plaid. The only downfall is it is a bit shorter than what I would typically wear to work BUT if you have a business casual environment you can get away with this one. During the winter I would pair this with some thicker black tights and ankle booties but as the weather warms up (or in TX we can get random warm days) knee high boots or flats also look cute.
This skirt is lined, has a brushed flannel feel and gold button details. I like that it’s a good a-line but does run a bit small so definitely size up if you want to tuck in sweaters and shirts.
