Workwear to Weekend: 9 outfits for Spring

It’s workwear time again!! As many of you know I spent close to 15 years working in a business professional environment. Basically I wore a suit for over a decade. As I started this blog I wanted to ensure I stay true to my roots and continue to bring great workwear options for the busy professional. Now this month I’ve teamed up with 4 other influencers that understand needing great workwear.

We have a full time loan officer, college professor (I even got to Skype into her class once and talk about resume and interview skills), former outside sales rep and another former full-time corporate mama until her special needs daughter needed her full time. To see their workwear to weekend looks check out my Instagram I’ll be posting each day who is sharing in their stories.

Now I like to save everything in a blog post because I know you are busy and might not have the time RIGHT NOW to watch IG but can come back to this post over and over through the season.

FIRST let’s get the awkward sizing talk out of the way…
I’m 5’5 size 12 (sometimes a 10 depending on brand) M/ 10 top with a 36DD chest.

GIBSON NOTCH COLLAR BLAZER

Professional: Blazer (tts, M) | Blouse (tts, M) |Wit & Wisdom Crop Pants (size down 1-2 sizes in an 8)

Business Casual: Blazer | Jersey Tank (size up for larger chest, L), Mott & Bow High Rise Jane (size up 31, 28 inseam faded med/ dark blue) | Rothy’s chili points (size up 1/2- 1 sizes)

Weekend: Blazer | Rounded neck Tee (tts, M)| Catherine Boyfriend Jeans (size down if in-between, 10) | Gucci Crossbody

As soon as I found this bright blue blazer in the same soft stretchy knit as my favorite white one I had to have it! I love the pop of color and with a blouse and ankle pants it’s a perfect professional look.

For a more business casual look I added a jersey tank from Amazon and high waisted Mott & Bow jeans. Both have great stretch so perfect for those work environments where you need to look nice but might be moving around a lot.

For an easy date night look I added a scoop neck tee, girlfriend style jeans and my 40th birthday crossbody bag! This makes for a super easy yet fun look for girls night out.

CASLON WAFFLE SWEATER

Professional: Sweater (tts, M)| Trouser Pants (tts, 12P) | Similar Blazer | Leopard Pumps (tts)

Business Casual: Sweater | Ankle Pants (tts 12P) | Rothy’s point in chili Red (size up 1/2-1 size)

Weekend: Sweater | Jeans (tts)| Converse (tts)

You all asked for pieces that are good quality that you can wear a ton of places well… this waffle sweater is it! It’s soft and lightweight and can be easily styled for weekend, business casual or business professional. Not a “yellow” person no worries it just loaded in 6 spring perfect colors. This one has already been on repeat in my own closet because it’s just so comfy!

LIVERPOOL SEAMED LEGGINGS

Professional: Leggings (size down if in-between, 10 and these have been hemmed for length) | Cross front tunic (this color) tts, M | Leopard Pumps (tts)

Business Casual: Similar Knit Blazer | Short sleeve blouse (tts, M), Nude pointed flats | Leggings

Weekend: Similar Camo Tee | Denim Jacket (tts, L)| Leggings | White Sneakers (tts)

These leggings made it on my best leggings list for work for good reason! They are a thicker material with seaming down the front, back and sides. They have a slimming panel to pull in the tummy and no rolling! Since these are so great for work I figured the are great for ALL THE TIME. I wore them in Vegas but wanted to show you a few more ways to wear them.

This coral tunic is perfect for spring but unfortunately this color has been selling out while on sale. I love the longer in the back length and roll tab sleeves so check for other colors.

The white blouse is also from Gibson and has a tulip short sleeve style so cute with a longer knit blazer or on it’s own. This knit blazer is sold out from LOFT but I linked a popular style from J.Crew Factory.

Weekend wear! This is totally my kind of weekend outfit with a casual tee and leggings. I love these white sneakers because out of all the styles I tried these are the most comfortable!
