If you were smart enough to snag this during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale way to go.. I on the other hand was late to the party but waited until recently to grab this Leith Ribbed Shawl Cardigan ($69). I got the cardigan in brown spice which is much more of a nutmeg color than brown to match a few of the fall things I had been picking up lately. As I started to put together outfits I thought oh this would make a great 3 ways post so here we are. This cardigan is a lightweight knit that has the slouchy, long arm that you can easily bunch up. It fully covers the booty so good if you are looking for that longer cardigan, I’m wearing a Medium which is true to size for me.
Work
This Loft Hydrangea Garden Double Bar Back Top is a great lightweight, flowy top that can easily be tucked into a skirt or worn like here untucked with some nice ankle pants. This top is true to size and I’m wearing a M, today it is 40% off making it $32.70. I tried this top on with both my Boden Richmond Ankle pants (previous season) and the Wit & Wisdom Ab-solution ankle skinny pants ($68). Honestly I liked the color best with the Wit & Wisdom but they felt too casual to be pulled off in an office setting but the mushroom color was more of an earthy green that really made the colors in the top come to life. I have several pairs of Wit & Wisdom jeans and normally I have to size down but these fit more true to size than other pairs that I have. These are a 10R and wanted the extra length to be able to wear with heels, but if I wanted to wear booties I would have needed to get the petite. My Madewell Medium Transport Tote is also on sale through Monday with 15% off as an insider (very easy to sign up) making it $134.30 if you like shopping all one place you can also get it at Nordstrom but you’ll pay $158 (doesn’t look they they are matching prices on this one).
Night Out
So since day 2 of the anniversary sale I have been eyeing the Halogen black cami and it’s been sold out but I finally grabbed one and it’s on the way but until it arrives I just paired it with a Banana Republic black cami that I had in my drawer. For me I always feel sexy in black v-neck so grab what you have and throw this cozy cardigan over it. With it I have on my new KUT from the Kloth Donna Ankle skinny that I spent a good amount of time figuring out sizing but ended in the 8 which is a size down for me. I’m trying out the mules trend, here is my concern… I have really dry feet! I always want to cover my heels but lately I’ve been using the new Rodan + Fields Active Hydration Body Replenish cream and it’s really been helping so I went out on a limb and got the Caslon Miccah Mule ($99.95). These things are soooo comfy! They are great for a night out if you are going to be walking a lot because they have a lower heel and with the slip on style of the mule easy to throw off at the end of the night too (wink, wink).
Weekend
I know that this fall camo is a big trend and although I live in Texas I’m not a big camo person. I tried on several pairs of camo pants but fell in love when I put on the Caslon Utility pants. If you are in-between sizes I would size down, I’m wearing a 30P so I could get that good ankle length to wear with sneakers (I’m 5’5 so if I want something to hit at the ankle I almost always need to order a petite). Also they stretch (can I get a hallelujah!!) and they are a mid to high rise so bending down and picking up toys and kids are easy in these pants which is how they made the weekend list! If you haven’t learned yet when in doubt I’m wearing a Madewell Whisper Cotton v-neck tee, I just got this white because I’ll be honest my old one was looking a little worn out and with the 15% off it made this shirt $16.58 and Nordstrom is matching the sale price so go get your points! Finally I have on the Steve Madden Ecentrcq Sneaker that has been a big hit for awhile and the first day I got blisters… aaahhh! I think with a few more days they will stretch out but I wish I had bought them through the new Amazon Prime wardrobe where you have 7 days to try them.
