It’s finally winter and that means even in Texas we are pulling out our sweaters and SWEATER DRESSES. Now since it’s only a few months that we can wear these I don’t love spending a ton on sweater dresses. Today I have a couple options for you all under $40.
Daily Ritual Sweater Dress // Leggings // Knee High Boots (40% off)
Fit Tips: Dress size down if in-between, M // Boots tts // Leggings size up, L
Now as you can guess in TX most of the time I’m wearing these without leggings but I know that a ton of you are in colder climates where you need something on your bare legs. My favorite under dress leggings are the Soma Slimming Leggings unfortunately the full length ones are almost sold out but the crop are fully stocked and down to $14.99!
These are high waisted without a band so they really slim the belly and pull me in. They are a nylon blend so good for sweater dresses because they don’t tend to “stick” like other leggings that are more cotton blend.
This Amazon sweater dress is longer which I really like and hits right above my knee. It’s also very soft and fuzzy feeling. Here I have it with my Vince Camuto boots that just went 40% off. These are a lower heel and fit true to size.
The next dress I found at my local Target and fell in love with the color because well me and my tree match! It is another v-neck but this one is less fuzzy/ soft and more of a cotton ribbed feeling. This one is definitely the shortest of the three and hits a few inches above my knee so if you are taller than 5’5 this might be pretty short.
Target Sweater Dress // Boots (Similar Target Boots) // Kendra Scott Earrings // Madewell Necklace // Tree Gift Wrap Paper
Fit Tips: Dress tts, M for fitted look size up for looser fit // Boots sold out but I have the linked pair as well and both fit tts
I paired this dress with a few of my favorite jewelry pieces that are great investments because they can be worn with so much. The Kendra Scott Sophee drop earrings are larger but lightweight so great for those that have trouble with heavy statement earrings.
This Madewell necklace star bar necklace recently picked up during my last trip into Madewell and I’ve really fallen for the slight sparkle and gold design. Today 12/16 Madewell has 30% off everything plus extra 10% off online purchases with code ACTFAST.
Let me also take a quick moment to show you this amazing tree since it does match my dress LOL! I grabbed it from Amazon early in the season when it was recommended by Cassie from Hi Sugarplum. We had been debating on getting an artificial tree for years because our real ones would dry up so fast and make a mess.
Amazon Tree // Gold Tree Cuff // Similar Beaded Ribbon (other similar style) // PB Circle Rug
Unfortunately Cassie was right and this tree sold out pretty fast. I wanted to still link it since it’s late in the season and if you want to get some ideas for next year you have the link ready to go in October! I love our new gold tree cuff that really dresses up the entire tree and silver and gold ornaments.
This final sweater dress I was SHOCKED by the quality and price because y’all it’s from Walmart! Even my girlfriend came over to try it on and still said are you sure this is Walmart?! YUP! It looks very similar to a dress I got from Nordstrom and a current one at LOFT but for under $17!
Time and Tru Sweater Dress // Boots
Fit Tips: dress tts, L // Boots tts
These boots are the 2nd pair I got from Target which are a bit darker and don’t have a built in slouch but slouch a bit on their own. This style is actually much softer faux suede than the pair I’m wearing with the green dress.
Now I do also have to mention my Loopy case (because I get a lot of questions on it!) I love the leopard print and the loop has been a life saver since I do tend to drop my phone! Get 10% off your Loopy purchase with code “therecruitermom”.
