In less than two weeks I will no longer have a first grader. I can remember this time last year when I was crying at her Kindergarten graduation thinking, my baby is so big! In the past year seeing how grown up she has become just makes me want to cry all over again, but I won’t… at least for now. We are getting to the end of May and with it typically comes graduations, weddings, babies and a need for great lightweight dresses to wear to all these events.
For sizing reference I am 5’5 and typically wear a 10/12, since I am curvy (36DD) sometimes things will fit tighter across the chest.

This GibsonxHiSugarplum Napes swing dress was the first of the season that I put it on and thought, oh this one is good! This under $60 halter dress has an adjustable tie that allows you to make the dress sit higher or lower depending on your curves and the ties are long so they cascade down your back.

Fit Tips: Dress size down if in-between, I’m in a M and it’s perfect // Heels also true to size
I love that this dress is lined because in Texas since we never know if it’s going to be 65 or 90! It has a good length and hits above my knee but it longer in the back so if you are picking up a kindergartener in their adorable cap and gown you won’t be flashing the entire PTA.

I paired it with a Vince Camuto tote bag that I had from a few seasons ago because I love the all neutral look this season, but I’m loving this Sole Society Bag that has some braiding down the front and comes in a beautiful blush color.
The heels are technically a light pink but against my skin tone they look nude. These have a bit lower heel so if you are headed to an event where you will be walking or standing quite a bit your feet are not going to be dying.
As much as I adore this Pretty Woman inspired brown polka dot I also have this dress in hibiscus color which I also love. The dress comes in 5 prints and 3 solid colors so there really is a color for every occasion. With a switch of a color and accessories I feel like this would be a great option for a graduation party.

Now every time I have posted about this dress I get the same question… What BRA do I wear with this?! No worries friends, I have one that does not slip has great chest coverage and TRM tribe has also been loving.
24/7 Strapless Bra
This Thirdlove 24/7 strapless bra has been my go to for many summer dresses. Now I had some requests for dresses that don’t require a strapless bra so I scouted out some more options for you.

Here are more options of dresses that can be worn with a regular bra:
Fortunately we do not have any other graduations, weddings or babies this spring but we do have a big work party in June so I’m scouting out options and will continue to keep you posted on the Facebook page as I get new ones in.
