Since my kids are almost 8 & 5 almost every item on this list we have owned and loved, if we didn’t own it then it was given as a gift. I very much believe that at this age quality toys that are gender neutral are crucial (because then they can last through multiple kids)!

HABA Discovery Blocks These blocks are great for that love to shake and mouth stage. Each one has a different sound or texture and the paint is non-toxic for babies.
Fisher-Price Little People Caring for Animals Farm Playset We had a larger version of this playlet that my son LOVED but is now discontinued. This farmhouse has lasted years and my son will still play with it.
Country Critters Wooden Activity Play Cube by Hape We got this activity cube right when my son turned one and was wanting to pull up on things. It gives babies several activities to sit and play with but has enough weight that it doesn’t tip with those cruising toddlers.
BeginAgain Bathtub Ball Shark Tank I swear these are the best bath toys EVER!! Big holes at the bottom to drain so no mold and made from eco-friendly natural rubber.
Corolle Mon Premier Poupon Bebe Calin & Corolle Mon Premier Poupon Bebe Bath Boy My daughter received her first Corolle doll when she was one and I just gave my niece hers at one as well. These small dolls smell like vanilla and are the perfect size for little arms. Since I think boys should have dolls too there is a cute bath version that has a boy.
HABA Shakin Eggs Again another baby FAVORITE around our house when both my kids were in that sitting and making noise stage… they still make noise just run around doing it!
My First Touch and Feel Picture Cards Both my kids loved these picture cards that have texture on each one (we had all 3 sets) but when I gave them to a friend when we were done she RAVED about them too.
Jellycat Bashful Reindeer We are a HUGE Jellycat family and I love the medium size for snuggling.
Hape Pound & Tap Bench with Slide Out Xylophone Again this toy went through both our kids with massive love and I’ve given it as a 1 year old gift to MANY friends.

Quercetti Geokid Daisy Maxi This company makes some of the coolest gears and toys but this stackable daisy is perfect for little hands learning that hand/ eye coordination and stacking skills.
TOLO Toys First Friends Playhouse Although Tolo Toys have a heavier price tag they are worth every penny! They are high quality toys and the playhouse is a great start for talking about family and routines. I love their diversity in characters making it easy to find a family that represents your household.
Bay Best Friend Skipit Puppy We had several of the Bunnies by the Bay when my daughter was younger and now that she has grown they are the “lovies” for her own dolls. There is something about the combo of silk and soft fabric on these that makes kiddos love them.
Thats Not My Christmas Collection We loved all the That’s not my series but this Christmas book set is perfect gift for babies and toddlers.
