Madewell and more

Last week I stopped by the Madewell store and picked up this new Cherry Wood color Whisper Cotton v-neck pocket tee, these tees are a staple for my weekend wear.  I wear a M which is true to size for me and it has enough of a V to show off a cute necklace but not too low that bending over to pick up a kiddo is out of the question. I won’t go into how many of these I have but let’s just say that I haven’t met a whisper tee I didn’t love and some colors are 40% off right now with code SHORETHING!

The jacket is a previous season Caslon but while at Madewell I saw the new Surplus Jacket and it is VERY close to mine but a little pricier at $119. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Caslon jacket has a bit of a different cut (doesn’t have the tie at waist) but for $49.90 it’s definitely a bit easier on the wallet!

The Vince Camuto Kentvi sandal will be a fall staple for weekend and night out wear for me because they are so easy to walk in and I love the neural of the grey and French taupe colors. The only reason I did not grab them this year in the taupe is I have last year’s style that are already broken in and I LOVE! These are true to size and although I have a very high arch they don’t bother the top of my foot like a lot of closed booties.

Luckily across the street from Madewell is Anthropologie and I will be honest, I have never felt like their clothes are my style so I don’t always pop in but this day my little girl was with me and I wanted her to see the pretty candles so in we went. I’m so happy I did because I found this Louisa Bracelet set it has all the colors I’m loving for fall with a little rose gold, seriously this thing is going to be a constant! fullsizeoutput_2d09

I have a love hate relationship with distressed jeans, first I’m always putting my foot through the holes (is this just me?) second I feel like it makes me lose my credibility later on when my daughter gets older and I will inevitably tell her she can’t wear something ripped up.. but they are so cute!!! The Articles of Society Sara Skinny Jeans I adore because they have a high enough waist for my mama belly and a good amount of stretch that the extra margarita I had doesn’t hate me when I put these on. I feel like these are pretty true to size but if you are in between sizes definitely go down. At 5’5 these hit right at my ankle bone, perfect for flip flops or slides but I cuff with booties. fullsizeoutput_2d0c

There are only 11 days left of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so although lots of items have sold out don’t forget to pick up your favorites before prices go up on August 9th!
