Nashville | Girls Trip 2023

GIRLS TRIP TIME!!

In the past few years carving out time to reconnect with my friends has been more and more important. Especially now that we no longer live in TX gathering together for a long weekend and experiencing a location together is amazing. Last week I met up with 3 of my BFFs in Nashville. These amazing ladies I met about 17 years ago when we all worked together. We have been through marriages, divorces, babies and a couple moves. It had been YEARS since we have all seen each other in person even though we chat daily on Marco Polo.

Now it’s important to note that we do not use a travel agent, my friend Kelly is the most AMAZING traveler and she makes these incredible itineraries that are personal to our group while knowing the best places through experience and research. I keep telling her she needs to do this as a business so if you think so too, contact her on Instagram at @theycallmejellynotkelly .

We stayed at the Dream Hotel and while the rooms were a little small for 4 girls the ambiance and location was amazing. They have a delicious restaurant that we ate our first lunch at and hung out until our friend Kenna drove in.

After lunch we headed back to the room to change and reveal gifts and the itinerary. Kelly always gifts pjs for each trip and this time we got the most hilarious sleep shirts and YES a cow onesie with udders! Plus a hangover kit filled with essentials. Didn’t tell you my friends are amazing!!

My friend Regan had these amazing hats made from @MpressHats perfect for our trip so we were set to then hit Broadway.

Here was the general itinerary and it was so well planned with advance reservations for everything which I HIGHLY recommend. Plus it included some down time in the day and a special surprise Bridal Boutique Crawl for our friend Kenna who is doing a 10 year vow renewal this year and wanted to check out some dresses.

DAY 1

After lunch when we were headed to Broadway I thought about wearing shorts and cowboy boots but opted for a white dress that was lightweight and comfy and so happy I did! We had so much fun seeing Tootsies, Whisky Row and spent a good amount of time at Lucky Bastard Saloon. I thought we were going to head back to the hotel before dinner but ended up just going straight to dinner from Broadway.

The food at Blanco was delicious! It is an upscale taco joint and had amazing drinks. It’s on Broadway so easy location to get to from bars and within walking distance from our hotel.

DAY 2

After a later night it was great to wake up without many plans until brunch I grabbed the girls Starbucks just down the street to get everyone up and moving. Then we grabbed an Uber to Mockingbird. This cute restaurant has fun drinks and for sure get the donut of the day ours was s’mores! I had the shrimp and grits and it was ok, not anything I would order again my friend Kelly got the Hot Brown and she loved it. The bubbles in a bag were yummy and fun for brunch and got us set for some shopping.

After Bruch we grabbed an uber and headed to 12 south for some shopping. It has amazing cute boutiques where we picked up some bracelets from Judith Bright for National Best Friend’s Day saw the Draper James Flagship store and tried the most creamy and delicious Jeni’s ice cream (for sure get the buttery waffle cone).

While we were out shopping it got a little warm so we wanted to sit down for a bit and grab some food. We happened upon Bartaco and OMG it was just what we needed!! The margaritas were fresh and the tacos are a order as you go situation. I then found out they have one in CO so I’ll be back for sure!

After shopping we headed back to the hotel and everyone had a bit of a rest, then got ready for dinner. Since I heard we were headed to White Limozeen later in the evening I figured this was my best boots night! We had dinner at Liberty Common which was right by one of the CMA fest stages so the restaurant was pretty slow but the food and service was great.

After dinner we headed to White Limozeen at the Graduate Nashville Hotel. We ran into a group that included a man that said he was one of the first employees of the hotel and told us the whole backstory!

The Lobby has couches and pictures of Taco Bell to represent the rise of a Nashville star starting couch surfing and eating fast food. Then as they rise to fame you go to the rooftop in your White Limozeen which is an amazing bar with Dolly Parton vibes.

It even has an outdoor pool and giant Dolly head looking over the city.

To ensure you have a table, reservations are required but I’m pretty sure you can also do standing room and order from the bar. The night that we were there is was sooo empty due to CMA fest so while the streets were packed popular places like this were so nice and quiet because most people were at the festival.

I would highly recommend the Champagne jello shots and frozen Iguana both were amazing so fun!

Since we were not quite done with the evening we headed back to Lucky Bastard Bar on Broadway and found the most fun band! Let’s just say we did not get back to the hotel until 3am and it’s the latest I’ve stayed up in YEARS!!

DAY 3

While it was minimal sleep we did get up the next morning pretty early to get ready for brunch at The Hamilton Social. This huge restaurant has the most amazing decor and beautiful photo op walls. The menu was a good mix of lunch and breakfast items which I love since I’m not always in the mood for breakfast foods. I got the lobster roll and truffle fries (so the flowy dress was again a great idea!)

After brunch Kelly had arranged for a private car to take us to two amazing bridal shops in Nashville. The first stop was Olia Zavozina which is a custom bridal gown store. Nearly everything can be mixed and matched and made to order. It was so fun to see my friend try on dresses after 10 years of marriage!

After our first stop Kelly had arranged for our driver to pick up the best grazing box from Host & Toast Luxury Concierge. After our quick snack we had an appointment at Adorned in Nashville. Kenna tried on a few more dresses and we think found one she loved so the trip was a success!

After our dress shopping excursion we again had a little downtime in the hotel (highly recommend these little breaks I mean we aren’t 20 anymore!) Then got dressed for our last night out! We had dinner reservations at Justin Timberlake’s The Twelve Thirty Club. This restaurant/ rooftop bar/ supper club is just SEXY! The dark interior, live band and mood is a throwback to the 19th century supper clubs that could stay open after restaurants closed at 12:30.

The food here was incredible and we had amazing steaks, short rib potstickers, and sides. It was one of the ONLY restaurants that read our notes and mentioned all the things we were celebrating and sent over their Molten Butterscotch “Angel” Cake which was to die for!!

After dinner we headed downstairs to the “club” called Pushing Daisies which had the most amazing margaritas. This intimate club/ bar had a DJ and the main area had first come, first serve seating but you can also reserve a VIP table for a fee. This place had a line outside at least 30 people deep so if you want to get in make sure to make a reservation.

DAY 4

The toughest is the last day!! We packed up and drove over to Husk for breakfast before we all left for our respective cities. This stunning restaurant has a low key vibe and delicious southern food. We started with pimento cheese and sweet potato bread and both were amazing. For the first time this trip I was in the mood for breakfast food and got the breakfast plate which was delicious.

After breakfast Kenna took us to the airport before she headed back to St. Louis. Regan and Kelly hopped planes back to TX and I got delayed heading back to Denver (of course lol). It was an incredible trip and I know we missed doing like a million things so like Vegas it’s a place you can go back over and over and experience new things.

Now that I’m making these girls getaways an annual tradition I figured I would share a few of my must have items to survive the long weekend!
