I was recently looking back on the blog and realized I never posted our holiday decor last year and thought this year I am sharing our home (if only so I remember what we put up for next year!)
I always get a lot of questions about our tree. Last year I decided we were going to forgo our fresh tree and try an artificial for the first time and honestly I’m in love! It’s so nice to be able to put it up early and not have to worry about the fire hazard in late December.

9ft Flocked Pre-lit Tree | Similar Round Rug | Gold Tree Cuff

This tree is from Amazon and it comes into stock in late October and it seems to sell out by the 2nd week of November. I can understand why it has great limbs, flocking and the smart lights and set up is so easy.
Plus for a 9ft flocked tree it is normally under $400 which is a great price for the size and style. I get asked a lot about shedding and yes it does lose some flocking when I put it up each year but after that I see very minimal shedding. It came very heavily flocked so I wasn’t too concerned about losing a little bit each year.

I have also have gotten a TON of question about my tree ribbon. Let’s just say it’s expensive and time consuming but I LOVE IT! This is a double layer of 4″ cream velvet ribbon under a 2″ beaded silk ribbon. Both are wired and by the same company. I got ours at a local Christmas store so I’ve been unable to find the exact matches online.
The way that I attach is by starting at the top of the tree and use floral wire to attach right under the star. Then swag for about 2 ft and then make 2-3 loops all together to give a bow look. I continue down the tree in a diagonal direction. Then I start with a second roll in the middle of the tree and fill in a 2nd set.
Below is the middle 2nd rolls of ribbon. In the end I use 4 rolls of ribbon for my tree. In past years I have additional ribbon for a staircase garland but with minimal guests at our house this year I saved myself the effort!

The Next area of our home is the mantle and this year I had a few additions. In years past I have not loved our stocking holders so when I found these adorable reindeer I knew I had to grab some!

The great thing about the Reindeer stocking holders is that they also had coordinating reindeer for my console table. I love how elegant these reindeer look! This is the medium and small sizes, the large is HUGE!

This space ends up being our headquarters for holiday fun! We snuggle on this couch and watch Christmas movies, this year the HIT has been Netflix The Princess Switch Again. I love Elf and make everyone watch it a least 3 times in the season.

We hope that you have a wonderful holiday season. Hug those you love tight this year and know that although this year has been tough, slowing down and enjoying family time is one of the most precious parts of the holidays.
