It’s that time of year where Back to School and fall starts popping up but it’s hard to even think about it because your temperature is still saying 100 degrees! In Texas most offices are notorious for being super cold (cranking up the AC) then you are sweating heading to your car. Today I’m sharing some work pieces from Nordstrom that are great for late summer and into fall, dresses!

Fit Tips: Dress tts, L // Heels tts
One of the easiest ways I’ve found to look great but deal with the various temps is with a flowy work dress. This one is fully lined so you it’s professional but the sleeves are sheer still giving that air moment. It’s currently on sale in the Anniversary Sale so you will see limited sizes available but returns DO happen so check back through the sale to snag it for under $80.
Since sizes are becoming limited I figured I would share a few more styles that I love from Nordstrom that are coming in these stunning fall colors.

Floral Wrap Dress | Fit & Flare | Ruffle Sleeve
Plaid A Line | Floral Midi | V Back Sheath
Now I have purchased or tried on the majority of these dresses or at least similar styles from these brands and I’ll be honest, they run small! Especially with Eliza J size up I wear a 14 in her styles and the Sam Edelman floral also ran small (the 12 didn’t even zip!)
The great thing about a classic work dress is if you have an environment where at times you need to dress up a bit more, just add a blazer and you are set.

This blazer by the in-house brand Open Edit is a great under $50 option. It’s fully lined and the classic khaki looks great for summer and into fall. I think it also looks great with my favorite Hazel pumps in soft beige so it’s a combo I have on repeat.
Add some classic jewelry and you are set for work! I’m a big fan of Kendra Scott and pick up a few pieces each Anniversary sale.

It’s also a great time to check out some cute work shoes. While you all know I’m a heels girl there are some great flat options for work as well that would all look great with dresses.

Ted Baker Bow Pumps | Sam Edelman Bow Flats | Charles David Pump
Fit Tips: I sized up 1/2 in all

So while I know it still feels like summer heat will never end, I promise that fall is around the corner and this is a great time to grab some “back to school” clothes for your workwear needs.
