Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Catalog 2019: First Look

It’s finally here! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 catalog has arrived! You might be receiving the catalog in the mail soon, but you can download and look through the PDF RIGHT HERE!

This is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 catalog and it lists only some of the many items that will be on sale during the sale. I have found when it comes to fashion I only see a few things that I would even consider buying. Much is highly styled and not my taste but I get a good look at colors and trends. This early catalog os known as the Early Access catalog because it’s the items they are heavily promoting (think many time higher price tag). There will be additional catalogs coming out soon.

Many items on the Anniversary Sale, are brand new and not even released yet because the idea is you are shopping “Fall” before it gets stocked. Keep in mind, prices do go up after the sale ends and popular items sell out very fast.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Catalog 2019 Early Access

Let’s talk about dates because you will see A LOT of different dates on different bloggers websites, and even in my own circles we have been kind of hearing different things. I finally spoke with the head of personal styling at Northpark Center in Dallas and here is the FULL list of dates:

  • Wednesday July 10th, 2019– In store shopping for Icon & Ambassador card holders (old Level 4 & 3- spending $5k/ yr)
  • Thursday July 11th, 2019– Early Access online for Icon & Ambassador card holders
  • Friday July 12th, 2019 12:30 EST– Early Access online & in stores for all card holders
  • Friday, July 19th, 2019– The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 is open to the the general public
  • Sunday, August 4th, 2019– The sale ends and items return to their normal retail price

Now I’ve read from a few people that maybe they are not as excited about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year because they maybe “overbought” last year and then didn’t get to wear their items until they were going on sale. Here is what I have to say… you bought all the wrong things girl! No just kidding, well kind of. I wanted to break down the categories that I buy so you have maybe a strategic plan of action.

Lightweight Cardigan & Booties

Best Cardigan from Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018

Last year the big hit was this Leith Cardigan and from the year before these Vince Camuto booties. This combo you can wear easily in early fall and into cooler nights. These two booties caught my eye in the new catalog and I guarantee will be early sell-outs!

From this year (2019) Early Access catalog:

Work Dress & Fancy Heels

Best Dress from Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 Eliza J

This Eliza J Dress was one of my BEST finds during Anniversary Sale last year because it had such a classic shape and at a great price. Black sold out very quickly during the sale and when it came back in stock it was not marked down again until holiday shopping time where sizes were pretty much GONE!

These Ted Baker heels I also grabbed during last year Anniversary sale and JUST NOW am I seeing them on clearance close to the price I paid last summer.

In the Early Access Catalog I’m not seeing much in either of these areas to get super excited about but I did see that this exact Eliza J dress is back in stock so let’s keep our fingers crossed for new colors and sale price!

Best BLANKNYC moto jacket from Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018

Last year this BLANKNYC Suede Moto jacket stole my heart and I went back and forth on colors but so glad I picked up this deep wine color. The other great buy was the faux suede drape jacket. Although in July and August I did not get much use out of this one come November when it was still full price I was glad I grabbed it when it was still 100 degrees.

This year plaid is having a major moment so I’m excited to try on this statement jacket (think with some skinny jeans and cami for early fall and then boots for winter! The other statement you will see A LOT of is snakeskin and if you want to go all in check out this year’s BLANKNYC Jacket.

From this year (2019) Early Access catalog:

Oh man do I love some beauty sets and this is the best time to get some exclusive sets of your favorite beauty brands at sale prices. The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk has been one of my favorite lip colors and to see a kit I was BLOW AWAY and expect this to be VERY popular.

From this year (2019) Early Access catalog:

I looked through last years purchases and there are a few other items I always try to grab at this time:

A few of my little girl’s shoes from last year

The sale is very popular and the stores will be very busy especially in the DFW area. I always recommend shopping online for the best selection, last year I headed to the store and most of the items I wanted were GONE in the first day. In addition to free shipping and free returns, Nordstrom also offers curbside pickup, expedited shipping, same-day delivery (for select areas), and even international shipping.

  1. First, mark your calendars for Early Access starting July 12th at 12:30PM ET. You’ll need to be a cardholder to access the sale online during Early Access. If you are not a cardholder, you can still sign-up and right now they are giving you a bonus $60 Nordstrom Note until July 10th. Otherwise, you can start shopping on July 19 during Public Access.
  2. Start planning your picks! This page will have my picks and my favorite styles as they are available. I am planning on an early try-on session for sizing and fit of popular items to try and get you the best day one picks.
  3. When the sale starts, head to cart and add the items to your cart. Choose the In-Store Pickup as your shipping option during checkout. If you don’t have a Nordstrom location near you or if an item is not available for In-Store Pickup, don’t worry! Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns on all orders. Click here to find the nearest Nordstrom location.
  4. After your order is placed, you’ll get a text from Nordstrom when your order is ready for pickup. You can then head to your local store at your convenience and your items will be waiting. Some locations even offer curbside pick up where they bring it out to your car! It’s really the best way to shop.
  5. HAVE FUN!! Don’t stress too much about buying a ton, Nordstrom has a great return policy. Get it home, try stuff on see how it works with the rest of your wardrobe and then return what you don’t love.
