Let me tell you a little secret… when I had to resign from my corporate career the thing I was most happy about leaving behind wasn’t driving into work or the stress of having a boss it was wearing suit pants. Yes you heard me, after 15 years of non stretchy, waistband doesn’t always love you, had two babies and came back to work pants I was done! So when one of my former co-workers said you need to try these Rockstar jeans I thought well friend I think you are right!
Tunic // Rockstar jeans // Booties // Similar Earrings
These jeans have a thick elastic waistband and faux front pockets so it has a slimming effect. I love that they come in short, regular and long for various heights and a good size range 0-20. These are true to size and I wear a 10 short for them to hit right at my ankle.
The tunic I found during a recent trip to Nordstrom while it was rainy and cold and thought ok I love this color for fall but even better that I can get a few looks out of one top. It has enough fabric and stretch for it to have the cowl neck look (like here) one shoulder down or both shoulders down. Online it says to order one size down but I disagree, I’m wearing it in a medium and feel that it is true to size, especially if you want wear with one or both shoulders down.
Now a few of you asked me for more accessories so I’ve been on the hunt for unique items that are reasonably priced but look good with fall outfits. I’m loving the lightweight feather earring trend and these that I found at Nordstrom but when I went back to link them I could not for the life of me find this exact style. I have instead linked two pairs by the same brand that are similar the feather style is $38 and the gold $75.
The booties I have on are also true to size and pretty much my favorite fall shoe. I love the tassel and it’s a good mid heel height. As I mentioned this weekend I love this outfit because while I’m at home the tunic and jeggings are comfortable enough to feel like lounge wear but then throw on some cute earrings and booties and I’m ready to go out for dinner!
There are many of you that have recently joined me on Facebook and here on the blog and I just want to say welcome and THANK YOU! This blogging venture came after some big changes in my life in the past year but I feel like I’ve developed a place where women like me could come and get some ideas for fashion, kids and home. I’m always on the hunt for a deal so stayed tuned into the Facebook page where most of that is posted and check out the holiday gift guides I’m putting more out each week.
Hugs, Ry
