I can’t believe we are only a few days away from moving to Colorado!! It has been a long couple of months being in transition but I think we are all finally ready to embrace our new home town of Denver. Now many locals have said oh it’s so sunny, you don’t need a ton of big jackets but y’all I’ve lived in Texas for 24 years!! I’m a warm weather girl through and through so I know I’m going to need a few winters to adjust.

Luckily I found a ton of great brands perfect for cold weather at Nordstrom.com. They even have an entire section online perfect for winter weather or ski trips! I love getting my investment pieces at Nordstrom because when I’m not 100% sure of sizing, the free shipping and returns makes it so easy to try on at home versus driving across town to my nearest store (in Denver it will be about an hour away).
I’m also stocking up because I love to SKI! Many of you may not know this but I spent middle and high school in Albuquerque, NM so we would drive to CO frequently to ski. The last time that I went was almost 5 years ago, right before I started my blog. From last experience I know good jackets, boots and pants are clutch to staying warm.

Fit Tips: size up, runs small need XL
As I was searching for warm weather clothing I found this cute puffer jacket by Save The Duck which makes down free jackets and outwear. This one has a detachable hood and nice longer length. Just by the zipper is the sherpa panel so it doesn’t add too much bulk through the jacket but still is nice and warm. It’s water repellant and machine washable all great features for snow!

I also wanted a great snow bib and found this style from The North Face. I first bought a size large based on the size guide but it wouldn’t even zip up!! These run small! Once I got the XL I like that it’s roomy in the waist and since the suspenders are stretchy it’s pretty easy in and out.
This style comes in a typical black but loved this wild ginger color, but also just saw the new purple camo that is super fun too!
