It’s almost half-way through May and although many things in Texas are finally opening up most of us are not headed on vacation quite yet. So just getting some backyard sun is therapeutic for me.
Today’s post is just in time for warmer weather…a round-up of my favorite one piece swimsuit styles! I know swimsuit season isn’t always a reason to celebrate, but over the years I’ve found some flattering styles that make me feel comfortable and confident. Now I know as soon as I post this I’m going to get questions… “Can you do one for all two-pieces, what about tankinis?!”
Here’s the thing, I have a few two piece suits I love (I’ll show you one at the very end that is still in stock) but I typically wear those just when I want to get a little sun on my belly. Tankinis DO NOT fit me well and I just don’t buy them so instead if there is a similar style in a tankini or 2 piece I’ll link them for you to try out!
Fit Tip: I’m 5’5″ size 12 and 36DD. When in doubt I size up in swimwear especially for the chest room.

I love this suit from Cabana Life because it has both mom mode and sex appeal all in one swimsuit! I had a lot of questions on how well the zipper holds with a larger chest and I have swam laps in this with no movement to it’s good!

Tempt Me High Neck Plunge swimsuit

This swimsuit was a HUGE hit last year and was able to see it on a few of my friends and I’ll tell you it looks great on everyone! It has good rear coverage and belly ruching to flatter all the “problem” areas of mine. I also love the hint of cleavage with the mesh insert but thicker molded cups to keep everything in place.
The downfall I’ve found with this suit is the rear is not lined so it’s thinner in that area and the cups do move around but that’s about it. They have like 30 colors and most are under $30 so it’s a winner in my book.

Becca Crochet Swimsuit

This swimsuit has the most perfect panel placement to give that sexy yet covered look. When I first got this swimsuit I was stopped and asked at our pool so many times where I got it my husband started joking I only wore it to get attention!
This exact style has gone out of stock but the current version has the exact same cut but a diamond shape crochet. Either way it’s a stunning swimsuit that will turn some heads (even if it’s just for someone to ask you where you bought it).

Hilor Front Cross-over Swimsuit

This swimsuit I grabbed because I saw my friend Ja’Net in it last summer in Galveston and I LOVED how it looked on her. Granted she is taller and much thinner than I am so I never know how that’s going to go but this one was a TOTAL winner!
I love the illusion straps and it has a good full booty coverage. The modesty pads are a bit larger than other swimsuits so they stay in place a bit better. This comes in 20 prints/ colors so there is seriously one for everyone!

This swimsuit I received right before my 40th party in Vegas and I my daughter saw it and LOVED it! The bright colors, one shoulder and stripes just makes this suit fun without being over the top. It does come with a second shoulder strap if you want more security but I feel like the suit stays up on it’s own just fine.

Hilor One Shoulder Ruffle

This is another Amazon suit that I saw on a friend and thought ok let me try that and again was so pleasantly surprised! It has full rear coverage, belly rushing and enough top coverage to feel like it’s not slipping down even with one shoulder.
The down sides on this swimsuit is the lack of backside lining and yes the modesty pads to move around on this one. Although for the price and color selections (35 colors/ prints) this is a great one to pick up.

Boden Talamanca 2021 style (wearing older version)
Fit tips: size down if in-between Boden runs larger, 10
I am in an older version of this popular Boden swimsuit but I have it in several prints and have loved this style for so many years I had to include it.
One reason is that for my taller friends (or longer torso) this style comes in a long which is 3cm longer in the body than the regular. My friend who is 5’8 got it last year and said it was one of the few one piece suits she feels comfortable in.

Cabana Life Embroidered One-Piece (Santorini Print)

I love this swimsuit so much I have it is two colors/ prints. It has a gorgeous strappy back and great slimming panels in the front and back. The top also has an internal shelf bra that helps lift without the v being too deep.
Lately when I’m grabbing a swimsuit it’s this one. This print is an older color so some sizes are limited (but it is on sale) but there are 9 other colors/ prints to choose from.
