Lately my husband and I have been running in different directions and he has been traveling for work a ton so of course as soon as he gets home it’s time for date night! When I bought this outfit it was still about 80 degrees in Texas so I needed something that felt fall but could work in our hot weather. Now that it has cooled down in a lot of the country this look can easily have a blazer or jacket thrown over it so I did both for you. Let’s talk first about cold weather because it is cold and wet here!
I love the BLANKNYC No Limit Suede Moto jacket $188 in Ruby to add a little color and warmth, it is true to size and really beautiful in person. The Gibson Satin cami $45 is the star of both these looks because I love the color and was looking for something that I felt would be worn a few different ways… but DO NOT listen to the listing on Nordstrom’s website, it does not run large. This is a medium (my typical size) and it was a bit tight across the chest so if you are a D cup or larger definitely size up. If you are a smaller cup than stick to your true size. In this look I’m wearing my favorite Wit & Wisdom Ab-Solution ankle jeans $68 so you can take me to the “all you can eat” Brazilian Steak house and they still fit at the end of the night because of it’s stretchy interior waistband! I got a lot of requests recently for jewelry pairing so I threw on two of my favorites from Kendra Scott the Alice Statement Earrings $85 in Silver and Leanor Pendant necklace $75 in Platinum Drusy/Silver. Both are great easy staples to dress up a going out outfit.
If you are going with the warmer weather look like (in Texas you just never know what the weather is going to do!) I paired it with the Kendra Scott Phara Lariat necklace $120 which is so versatile and you can tie it a bunch of ways. Kendra just released their new winter collection and although the pics online looked good I wanted to see in person and YES the Dunn Earrings $80 are beautiful and would look great in the Berry Illusion to coordinate with the most comfortable heels but we will talk about those gorgeous things in just a bit!
I’m also wearing the J.Crew Factory 9″ high rise skinny jean in rise wash in this look because I have been searching for some good inexpensive jeans in a dark wash that would look great if you had a job where you could wear jeans but they needed to look professional. I really love the fit of these with a bit of stretch and the high waist, although since they do not offer specific lengths so these were too long and they are cuffed up in the picture. Right now they are 35% off with code HURRY making them under $40 so spending a little bit on hemming them is worth it!
Let’s now talk just a bit about these shoes.. OMG! I have been an avid Nine West and Cole Haan pump girl for YEARS but when I found the leopard and these in the dark cherry patent Sam Edelman I thought.. “Fine, I see if they are any good (insert eye roll here)” So I’m a huge moron because these pumps are amazing (listen ladies I used to stand at career fairs for 6 hours, on concrete so I’m particular about my heels)! These fit true to size and with a 3.75 inch heel they are a bit taller than what I am used to but I could not feel a difference! These come in so many colors that they might be my new go-to heel (check out the burgundy dot too must have for holiday wear!)
Lastly I wanted to chat about some purse options, I’m loving this genuine calf hair clutch with optional cross body $99 and the Rebecca Minkoff Envelope Clutch $95 are both great for date night and upcoming holiday events!
As I mentioned earlier that many of these requests for professional jeans, accessories, etc are coming from my tribe and I can’t thank you enough for being part of it! My goal of starting this blog was to make the busy woman’s life easier so tell me what you are looking for! I might get it exactly right or I will at least try. The best way to join the tribe is through my VIP Facebook group, you will need to answer some questions to ensure that you are here for the right reasons but I invite you wonderful ladies to join us!
Hugs, Ry
